I just graduated from high school and was wondering if Walter's State is a good school to attend, and if it is reasonably priced?

You JUST graduated from high school in February? Yes, Walters State is a wonderful school with mostly great teachers/professors/instructor s. It is a lovely campus and the price is right. You will have to check their website for tuition prices, but it is clearly a bargain compared to UT or Carson Newman. Good luck! I wish you success.

WSCC is one of the most overlooked fine resources in this area. I'm a teacher in Hamblen County and have continually encouraged my students to attend WSCC. Most colleges insist you declare a major upon registration your 1st year. As we know, 18 yr. olds change there minds all the time. In this case, a change in major can cost big bucks. Under my plan, you attend WSCC, stay at home, study hard, do your work, attend classes, and be successful. In two years you are better prepared for the rigors of a university, living away from home, and you probably have a good idea of what you what to do in life and how to get there. Good luck Bo.....hope you find your sheep. The pastures are green in Morristown.

WSCC is a great community college, if you are seeking a career path that utilizes an Associate Degree, such as a RN or PTA. With that said, given its a community college the tuition is low (2k per semester roughly with books and what not). If you are seeking a higher level degree then you can do your prereqs at WSCC then transfer to a four year such as ETSU and UT with pretty much all credits transferring. If you want further help let me know what career path you are seeking and I will gladly help answer your questions in a deeper context. Good luck!!!
