This year, The Chamber of Commerce is having a Pageant for our own Miss Upper Kennebec Valley River Festival Queen. She will go on to represent our area at the Miss Maine Pageant. If she wins there, it will be on to Miss America.
The Upper Kennebec Valley River Festival will be held at Bingham, Maine, on July 31st, August 1st, and August 2nd.
We look forward to many contestants for this title. Our area has long been neglected, and we are bringing in different events that will help put us on the map.
We also feel that this will give contestants, as well as our younger generation, a reason to stay out of trouble, work toward a more positive future, be active in community projects, and a chance to work toward a goal of success.
We will have many other events, vendors, food, and games available.
