I WANT THE CITY OF EUREKA SPRINGS,AR TO KNOW THAT THEY HAVE JUST LOST MY TOURISM MONEY - I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO A TOWN THAT THE CITY GOV. IS AGAINST GOD'S WORD.
THE BIBLE IS CLEAR IN ROMANS 1:26-32 - GOD IS AGAINST BEING GAY. AND I WILL HAVE NO PART IN ACCEPTING OR SUPPORTING SOMETHING THAT GOD IS AGAINST.
SUMMER VACATION WILL BE SOMEWHERE ELSE AND I WILL SPEND MY MONEY THERE. I HOPE THAT ALL OF THE PEOPLE STOP GOING TO THIS CITY !

It's ok if those who don't live by a true Christian doctrine of love and non judgement vacation somewhere else.

Makes more room for folks who are truly loving and accepting to travel to Eureka.

Here's a tip..don't go to Chicago. Their city leaders just announced to all the major news they WANT to become a Gay Destination and have spent 20 million dollars on a new Gay center for residents and tourists.

I agree Red, the east side could use a bit of sprucing up.

I wonder if the 3 first posters spend any money in the town they live in..I guarantee there are gays there.

For all of those who have such a big issue with "Gays" you may wanna take a look around. Alot of the men and women you interact with on a daily basis are gay but they are afraid to be themselves because of the judgement of you so called christians, Which if you will go back and read your bible it says "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" maybe you should do a little more praying and truly beleiving Gods word before you go condeming people because of who they fall in love with. Because trust me they did not just wake up one morning and say "hey i wanna be gay today, i want the weight and ridicule of the whole world on my shoulders, i wanna be scared for my life everytime i walk hand and hand with my partner." Trust me it just don't happen that way. So rock on Eureka. Maybe then the rest of the world will come around to.

do you notice that so far, the nay sayer posts on this thread are from people that don't list their location or they are from somewhere else, while those of us who live around ES seem to have no issues with or are in favor of the DSR?

Eureka Springs is a welcoming community. All sorts of very cool things going on.

Named by American Art Magazine in the top 25 Art communities.

And the New York Times just did a great article on living here or having a second home here.

People who are just finding out about Eureka are looking at they would the discovery of a new lush, peaceful, perfect paradise.

Gay? Yes. A cultural surprise? Yes.

Bigotry is so out of fashion...

Gay travel guide on the Gay News Bureau site along with restaurtant reviews, art news, and more.

And heck, bring Jim Bakker too...we have some fabulous stylists in town..I think his hair at least can be 'saved'

i feel sorry for all of the lost people that reject God and Jesus.
they will meet their maker someday - and they will not be able to say anything on their behalf - because people have tried and tried to get them on the right path, but they were not willing.
rather, they call them bigots and judgemental and God will hold them accountable for it.
matthew 12:36,37 -" But i say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
For by your words you will be justidied, and by your words you will be condemned."
and for the one that posted about "not living" by the true christian doctrine of love and non- judgment.
it is an "act of love" that someone tells you when you are wrong - "judgment" is God's domain
because he is the only one that will send the lost to hell.
someday - you all will be sorry that you didn't listen to all those who tried in various ways to "correct" you - so that you could be in heaven and not in hell.

This won't make a difference to city government but anyway here goes. If you see a drop in christian youth groups being brought here for the passion play you must figure it out. Our church will not bring our youth to a town that openly supports and displays the gay lifestyle and activity. You are going after the wrong group of tourist when you cater to the motorcyle gangs because it invites trouble. All motorcycle riders are not bad or in gangs but look what happened this weekend. Need I say more?

And what does the incident with motorcycle gangs this weekend have to do with domestic partnerships? not a dang thing. Your trying to use one issue to illistrate a totaly unrelated subject. Next it's going to be dust storms on mars causing the earth's ice caps to melt.

Get a grip.

I made two points that go directly to tourism in this town. I have a strong grip on my soul and my opinions.

It's not judging when you call them what they are is it? God said it's a sin and if they are gay then they are sinners. Sinners will have their part in Hellfire. What part of this don't you understand? Would you also associate with a child molester or murderer so as not to offend them? Is a preacher judging when he repeats the word of God? Everyone sins, but some of us are forgiven and some just live a life of sin. Gay people live in sin... argue with God on judgement day.

and not all people belive in your religion either. What part of this don't YOU understand? Child molesters ad murderers cause harm to another. Being in a gay relationship with another adult does not.
