I wouldn't have anything bad to say about the other candidate but the positive thing about Phil Amato is he has a proven record of making a difference and getting things done. The City of Arnold is a much better place because of all the time Phil has given the City over the last couple of decades. If you vote on someone's positive record, I just don't think there is any doubt Phil Amato is the best candidate. I wish both candidates well.
Phil has made a difference allright! He's helped to give Arnold the second highest sales tax rate in the State of Missouri...He turned a $200,000, six month project into $600,000+six year project...he was caught trying to rig the Rock Community Fire District election and has been instrumental in passing the most useless "emergency" legislation in past history. I can see it now, he'll require everyone to have a 6 to 8000 dollar solar streetlight on every block in not only Arnold, but all of Jefferson County....no thanks, we couldn't afford him part time in Arnold, perish the thought of full-time in Jefferson County, we'll all be in the poor house!

If you want your sales taxes raised, property taxes raised, and more corporate welfare, vote for Amato. He's got plenty of experience with all of that!
I'm union and Democrat, but won't support him because I can't afford his style of governing.

I guess it really does take 24 hours to name a single action or even position Phil has taken that is conservative in nature. What a crock. Amato and Huey deserve one another. They are both utter jokes and characteratures. Guns in City Hall? Nope. Eminent Domain? Yes. Freedom of speech? Nope.......come on, gimme a break.

I'm thinking that Amato's experience is a detriment. From what I have been told Amato doesn't have any children, so how would he know what our kids need?

Boyer has to be better than Amato. And he has children so he would be looking out for families and not himself.
You voted for BOYER

That is right, I voted for BOYER, the right choice for the people of Jefferson County. Bob Boyer stands for the people and not for personal gain. After years of Amato shinanagins and lies, it is time for fresh new ideas, not old ones that keep taking money from our pockets and lining those of Amatos corruptness. Boyer is one of us, he is tired of the ways of corrupt government and wants the change. It starts with us to vote in Boyer, Boyer is the right choice for Jefferson County

Ok, you say Amato has experience, well fine and dandy, but that experience has put the City of Arnold where they are today. In a bad bad place. If you put Amato in the County seat, he will only spread that badness even further, poisoning all other cities in Jefferson County. I do not think that the residents of these cities would want to be in the hurt locker like Arnold is now from the dealings Amato done.
So to all the residents of Jefferson County, if you want your privacy and way of live to remain intact and not destroyed by the evil government polciy of Amato. I urge you all to go to Bob Boyers site and read about him and what he stands for. You will see that experience in political office does not mean fairness and just. Look at many politicians that first started out, they had no experience and made good changes once in office. I think it is time for some new ideas and Bob Boyer is the one to bring that to us. Vote Bob Boyer this election for Jefferson County Council. The Fresh Start

1. Phil co-sponsored legislation to provide free trash and recycling services for residents of Arnold.(CRMG - Actually, this isn't free. It is paid for in our taxes. Therefore it isn't money saving. Also, the original legislation was back in 1975 and passed by the voters, when Mr. Amato wasn't even around. Please reference municode.com , you will find the effective date was 1/2/1975, way before Mr. Amato ever entered the Arnold political scene. According to his website he didn't enter Arnold politics until 1980. He may have passed a resolution to quit charging the residents their subsidy, but that is it.).
2. Phil introduced legislation that made more seniors eligible for the city's utility tax rebate program.(CRMG - I need to do more research on this one).
3. Phil introduced low-interest loan programs for the remodeling of older homes in Arnold.(CRMG - However, ask how long it takes for people to pay back these loans. Even though the interest rate is lower, the payment term is longer therefore costing the same and/or more in the long run).
4. Phil introduced legislation that expanded loan repayment terms for street and sewer sub-districts from 10 to 20 years, making public streets & sewers more affordable for homeowners.(CRMG - Again with the payment terms. If there are loans and you are paying for a longer term you are actually paying MORE money because of the accumulated interest. This isn't money saving in the least).
5. Phil co-sponsored legislation authorizing an agreement with Jefferson County for the collection of property taxes, saving the city - and residents - time and money.(CRMG - This might be money saving, but it is the only one on the list that I see).

Mr. Boyer did not lie. Mr. Boyer did not get fired he was laid off, there is a difference. Mr. Boyer did not steal Mr. Huey's signs, Mr. Boyer did not confess to stealing Mr. Huey's sign. Also, one would wonder why a representative from THF would be calling a survey company representative past ten in the evening and letting on that they weren't pleased with Mr. Boyer's lack of support for TIFs and TDDs....or corporate welfare in other words...guess that's how the "good ole boy's" system works....you don't like that a candidate runs against you, so you put undue influence on their employer via a developer.....it's not rocket science, but it is illegal...shows just how much corporate influence is running this town.

Oh please just keep on trying to make him sound good. The fact remains you cannot tell the truth.Oh don't worry everyone will know the truth soon!!!! Just keep on trying! Why must you try to put blame on the so called good ole boys for everything you do not like? You certainly do try to twist things around. Maybe just try the truth once in a while.

Mr. Boyer did not remove Mr. Huey's sign from Flo's lot. Mr. Amato was NOT allowed to put a sign up there, Mr. Huey is linked to the same group. Maybe the lawn service removed it. Huey should be able to sit down at the big table with his crayongs and color another one....

too funny,
You should try the truth. While you're at it you might want to think about how Fool Around Phil tried to "fix" a fireboard election to get his banking friend Jim Weiss elected by telling Mr. Zimmermann to have his father "drop out" of the race.
You should watch Mr. Amato stand up for no reason in a fireboard meeting and say "Are you threatening me?" Then asking for a police escort to his car.
You should watch Mr. Amato pass an "emergency" Child Responsibility Law so no one would get raped at Taco Bell on Richardson road before the next meeting. There were sufficient laws on the books at the time.
You should watch Mr. Amato try to institute the use of solar streetlights to the tune of $6,000 to $8000 per unit when UE can erect an electric one for about $200.
Watch Mr. Amato take $20,000 out of Arnold's strapped sewer fund to pay rebates for energy efficient toilets and shower heads while your rates are boosted higher.
You should know that Mr. Amato has a habit of participating in "back-room" deals that benefit his family(Ozark Dr.), his friends and business associates(Ridgecrest/Jeffco)a nd his political allies(Crisler, Edwards,Moss and Lang)
You should also know how he and his group, are all connected to SEIU, ACORN, the Communist Party and how they launder(35+/-) thousand in contribution money through Political Action Committees like Citizens for a Better Arnold and the Jefferson County Labor PAC. It would make Glenn Beck blush!
Anyway, it is Mr. Amato's award winning leadership that is leading us right down those energy efficient toilets....

Doris, It is finally time for you to sit down and SHUT UP. I cannot believe that even you would have the guts to make a comment like "you don't like a candidate runs against you, so you put undue influence on their employer." There has NEVER been a worse case of that then when I ran for the Fire Department. Even you were writing letters to the bank trying to get me fired. It amazes me that you can say the things you do. You screamed conflict of interest. WOW what a conflict with Mr. Boyer. He is the ONLY candidate that has personally put money in his pocket as a result of the Eminent Domain. He USED TO (apparently THF got tired of him taking their money and then bad mouthing them at the same time) do A LOT of work on these Eminent Domain projects and didn't seem to mind putting that check in his pocket. You are absolutly unbelievable!!!!!!

Jim, you and I have never spoken, and for the most part, I attempted to reserve judgement about you beyond knowing that "Bad company corrupts good character" and knowing the dolts in whose company you dwell. Your last few sentences prove that you really are as morally compromised as the rest of your cohorts. So, because he was a surveyor, whose employer contracted with firms that received projects where eminent domain was used, he has some nonexistent conflict of interest and financially profited from eminent domain? I am not following where any conflict exists. What kind of backward logic is that? That is as compelling as the old Russ Carnahan, "He worked for the Archdiocese, he therefore must be guilty of protecting pedophile priests" logic. So, is anyone who works for the concrete quarry that provided product to build the structures in a project which used eminent domain "directly" benefiting as well, since part of their paycheck is a result of the project? As your buddy Bill always says, "Gimme a break." Are you really that daft, or just pretending? That is like talking about Phil peddling death to children one cigarette at a time working for Lorillard. How come he never talks about that? Is he not proud? So he directly benefited from underage kids using his products, right? Could we say that as such, Phil had a conflict of interest in ensuring that the APD enforced the State Tobacco Age restrictions?

I am pretty sure that Bob did not get to decide the projects he worked on and went where he was told in order to put food on his family's table and a roof over their heads. That being said, if you or any of your buddies were involved in this, this really is a new political low against a guy that has done nothing to you. You guys have no concern for who you destroy, and use people as a means to an end. It is absolutely disgusting. All I can say is that karma is a real bitch. By the way, did you ever get that promotion?

Your cohorts as you call them didn't seem to have any moral conscious when they were aggressively trying to get me fired by my employer for some contrived conflict of interest that they made up.

I would in fact argue that the ones getting hurt here are consistently the pawns that your cohorts consistent stick out in the spotlight, push to do your bidding and then leave in a pile of mess. It is you guys that don't seem to care who's life you destroy.
