The salt dome protects the salt until it can be put on the street. If it is out in the open then the falling precipitation will cause part of the salt pile to melt making less salt to be used on the streets. The dome helps save money in the long run with less money being spent on salt since more is now used on the street.
And how does that help even one resident who is paying every quarter for storm water runoff projects, who has human waste gushing up into their basement and backyards? It doesn't! The amount of salt lost to the weather was less than minimal, almost unmeasurable, it would take over a hundred years to lose approximately eleven dollars worth.

Sounds like someone who didn't get their way.

The amount of salt lost is far from minimal. Call MODOT. I did and got tons of information. Before you're opening your mouth do some of that research you preach to others about.

And a sewer backing up in a basement is the resident's problem unless it is beyond the edge of the yard. And sewer is not covered under storm water fees.

So how does your harping help any residents? They couldn't care less about a little salt, they do care about water running into their basements and ruining their foundations. Why don't you step out of whirly twirly world and get in touch with reality?

Maybe you should get out of your whirly twirly world. You're talking in circles. One minute it's storm water in their basement and the next iris sewage. You really have no clue what you are talking about. They are two separate systems and the sewage problems isn't covered by the storm water fee.
