The government wants to control us. Fox News wants to control us. I don't think you have any control. Try Depends, I think it will give you the comfort your lack of control seems to have robbed you of.
You can get on the internet and show the entire world how stupid you are. That isn't control. That is FREEDOM. You can sit on a high horse acting as if you are better than everyone else because of your bastardized, ignorant belief system that you ripped off from Christianity. That is FREEDOM. You can watch Fox News till the last living neuron in your head has abandoned you for greener pastures. That is FREEDOM. You can fart and wonder visibly on this forum your lack of understanding why others don't think it smells like the roses you smell. That is FREEDOM. You can challenge others on here with a completely ignorant, myopic, and antiquated view of the world anytime you want and you do. That is FREEDOM. You can't murder randomly, litter, beat up old people, rape the neighbors, speed, sell drugs to babies, or rob anyone. That is the Law. With freedom comes laws and responsiblities. You sound like you want laws that apply to others and not you. That isn't FREEDOM. That is fascism, cronism, and everything that is wrong in this country.
If you have no control, that isn't my fault. Maybe you are just a scared little rabbit that will grasp at anything to feel comfortable and secure. Sort of like the Germans that didn't want to rock the boat when the National Socialist Party was having a big barbeque at Auschwitz or Bergen-Belsen.
This is hillarious! I am sorry for your ignorance. Only you can do something about that. You give me a headache. Sorry, you don't have a clue! You and Dawg must have the same DNA!

So in turn you Dems back the Dems and you Repubs back the Repubs and that keeps us a split country. Their job is to work together to keep you sheeple split so you WON’T stand together and again I add they are doing a very very good job at that. If any of you had any sense you would see that it takes them both to pass/fail bills, laws, legislation and anything else that gets passed or fails. There is not enough of one or the other to do it on their own. As long as they keep this country split they can and will do as they please while shaking hands, be friends, golfing, BBQing and laughing behind closed doors at all the idiots that believe their BS. That my friends is the bottom line, like it or not.
I have to agree with you on working together. I don't see that ever happening tho'. The Democrat Party has changed. They are too liberal, and I think that is why there is so much discontent in both parties.

That, probably, is why you are an atheist. You don't understand the full picture....
I quoted three consecutive verses of Genesis. Which say that your "god" was aggrieved because he had created Man. And that he "repented himself" that he had done so. Now I ask you -- if your "god" had known in advance what would happen, would your "god" have created Man? Take your time considering the logic of this situation. Most people who are able to reason would conclude that your "god" is not omniscient. If you conclude otherwise, that will tell us a lot about you.

Put quite simply -- the reason there is much discontent in the Republican Party is that they keep losing elections!

The reason is also quite simple -- the former "Grand Old Party" has been hijacked by the extremist right-wing Neo-CONservatives! I hope that the party can be taken back over by more moderate Republicans!

You have to read the whole concept. God was aggrived because of man's corruption and violence. He told Noah to build an ark for his family and to take 2 of each animal, etc. into the ark. You know the story. He gave man a free will and they sinned. Adam started the sin. We are all of Adam. He flooded the earth and said that he would never again destroy all living creatures. As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease. Because Adam sinned someone had to pay the price..........and that was JESUS CHRIST, that died for our sins. You don't have to pay the price.......all you have to do is believe Jesus paid that price for you.

Let me try this with you one more time, "Norton." If God knows everything, even in advance of its happening, then it makes no sense that he would make Man, knowing already that Man would sin. Being "aggrieved" also makes no sense if God knew it would happen and when it would happen.

An old couplet: In Adam's fall, we sin-ned all! Since it can be argued that a person could live a sinless life, the religionists had to take care of that argument by creating "original sin," which catches everyone in that net.

We have all heard your story. But it makes NO sense that a God would make creatures who would "sin," if God dislikes sin and already knew that Man would sin.(Presumably including as "sinners" all the animals which he also killed in the Great Flood. GOD KILLED BAMBI, AND SHE HADN'T EVEN GOTTEN AROUND TO SINNING YET! Mean God! Shame! Shame!)

Incidentally, if (or when) the earth gets hit again with a meteorite the size of the one which created the Gulf of Mexico and killed most all of the dinosaurs and plants from the resultant debris in the air and blocking out the sun, it is quite possible that day and night could continue without any "seedtime and harvest."

Sorry, "TN." Atheists do not have to "convert" anyone. We are all born into this world as atheists -- not believing in a god -- and after we have departed this world -- we will be exactly as we came -- not believing in a god.

Then why are you arguing? YOur religion is 'God does not exist'. If he does not exist, then why are you arguing about whether he exists? I don't believe that Santa Claus exists, so I never go on to forums stating 'Hey, Santa does not exist!'

You are trying to convert me to your version of truth, and it's as delusional as every other aspect of your warped personality.

I find it difficult to refer to the lack of belief in a deity (atheism) as a religion. Atheism does not carry with it many of the hallmark features of a religion. It is a belief system in a sense, though it is comprised of lack of belief.

Primarily, I see that atheists feel a need to defend their lack of belief in order to not be overrun by those that believe. Believers are like little children with a scab. They can't leave it alone. They have to pick, pick, pick at it. Considering history, when believers pick a scab there is a lot of blood shed.

Funny, I have never seen any evidence of Dawg trying to convert anyone to atheism. This is not to say he hasn't provided well grounded arguments in support of his position, but if that changed the way you think it would be on you and not on Dawg. Sounds to me like you may have some unspoken doubts about certain things.

I bet if you were to ask Norton about Islam, he would make a number of claims regarding its lack of being the true religion. Where it would get interesting is how much those same negatives could be applied to Christianity. This would be especially true in a debate with someone like Norton. You see how he posts nearly back to back contradictory statements and when called on it defends his position by calling others ignorant. Norton sees the stupidity in his statements, he just can't bring himself to admit it. I would say he would bring the same to the table in comparing Islam to Christianity or Christianity to any other religion.

If athiests are trying to convert people, and I don't really believe the majority are, then they aren't very good at it, because they represent a small portion of the population that isn't growing by leaps and bounds.
