The council meeting on Thursday was cancelled due to the death of Cricky, therefore it was rescheduled for Monday, which DORIS and SANDY decided that the Union Labor meeting was more important to attend than their own council meeting to which they serve on the council for the citizens of Arnold.

So what? Get over it. I don't hear you complaining about the meeting being cancelled tonight. Who cancelled the meeting tonight? Why didn't they just have the meeting tonight? Regular meetings and work sessions are on Thursday nights, not Mondays. I'll bet someone was out having a steak dinner and that is why there was no meeting tonight! Steak dinners are more important than council meetings! Next thing you know they will be cancelling council meetings for St. Patrick's Day so everyone can celebrate by getting drunk...oh, wait...they already have done that.
Totally believeable

The way I was told it was Ken Moss sent the note to ask for last Thursday off. That was the right thing to do. After that, Monday became the day because the minimum said they could make it. So Sandra said she had some phone calls to make to see if she could make it Monday. I think that she called back after Doris told her no. If Sandra and Doris were at that pac meeting rather than doing their job then their priorities are pretty clearly shown to be faulty. Doris admitted in her Patch comment that she was at the pac meeting but didn't ask for an endorsement. While she scolded Bill Moritz that her whereabouts that day were none of his business, I want her to tell me why. I am a voter and it sure is my busienss why she should have made a council meeting but went looking for votes instead.
And So

As I recall, when her name was called, she was excused.
