I think he name is properly pronounced
"Asshoe" not "Apo". At least it's more fitting.

Sorry not Matthias or Kadle here. Matthias liked to turn up the heat in the rooms while guys where out in the scorching heat and they would come back to a sweltering hot room. Kadle loved entering the adjoined hotel room and dumping a bucket of water on you while you sleeped. We still dont know the whereabouts of A. Rosser D. Poletski and B. Botkin during the infamous flooding. Word is Botkin was buying more undies for because his all ripped during the wedgies and Rosser w/ Poletski was buying every Slim Jim jerkey in town and ordering pizza to peoples room at midnight.

Still looking for some Wilson A2002 baseballs. That 96 Eagles team intentionally hit all of them into the mini storage lot playing pepper which enraged the coaching staff. Still not as bad as the 91 team that busted all the earflaps off the helmets so they could bat with what basically was a skullcap. Someone please open me up and set all these Eagle memories free.

That pepper trick was one of a kind. A true classic bud

Ohh B Dock Saint, you must remember for anyone to enjoy the chili somebody had to make it. I have been around Eagles baseball for a long time. Who else could of been on so many trips thru the years. A hint, you had me run to the snack bar and charge up hot dogs and cokes on the coaches account.

Since you were their bat boy you must of been a solid player yourself. The Eagles only employed the best. Are you still tearing it up on the ol' diamond?

Baseball Chili you have a way with words and stories. You've made me giggle all along. There have been a few here post that your stories are offensive. Frankly, we were all young once and tested the limits as to what we could get away with. Before all the Holier-than-thous from my era start to criticize, think back to the classics that entertained us when we were young;
"American Graffiti", "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", "Porky's", "Bull Durham", etc. Keep it up Chili. I think a compilation of Eagle memories would make for a great book or movie....Oh the stories an aged can of unused Babe Ruth Chili could tell.........

Good Choices of Movies..lets not forget "Revenge of the Nerds" Many a morning the "Booger" of the team would ask around "Who got Bush" Speaking of that nothing better then an assistant coach catching P. Cress kissing his girlfriend thru the fence while out behind the home 3rd base dugout. We all hoped that eventually a tug job would of commenced thru the chain link. I guess that would of been better then when B. Pidgeon found the mini putt putt golf course some pitchers made beyond the cage by Haps Bar to kill time. He was livid.

Lets get the old spagehtti feed going to kick off a new Eagles campaign. Lets have a Crabs great give us some inspiration. Maybe Shorty Aames could be the guest speaker and talk of his days getting high with the Crabbies. Maybe we can have N. Giacone talking about going big at the Arcata ballpark then pounding whiskey and 7's at the Sidelines that night. Boy he always got rid of those hangover shakes before that Sunday twinbill. Best speaker would be old S. Thompson. What a great SS for the Eagles and a 4 year starter for EHS. He played for the crabs and was considered one of the best 19 yr old fornicators in the area. He sure knew how to stick and move with those HSU girlies who stayed for summer. God Bless you greats....god bless.

Good point VFW. So many Eagles who played for those crabbies. One who was a snack bar visitor who could of played was S. Chase. His grandaddy Art was great coach and an asset to the baseball area. However Shilo was a true legend. If he wasnt head hunting on the mound or telling the catcher to miss a pitch intentionally so he could drill the umpire, he was setting some drinking records. One night he pounded a 40oz Mickeys followed by a 22oz Hornet of Mickeys and then a shot of Tequila. Some swear he never took a breath. That fiery red head then proceeded to piss all over the room...just because he could.
