I hope I'm still spry enough to solicit prostitution when I'm 69 years old. Go Charles!

I am glad to see they are arresting the men. You can't drive near the library without seeing at least four prostitutes. Too bad they didn't publish the men's photos along with their names. These men are cruising for sex near where our children go to get books so they can learn to read. Isn't that a nice thought.

LOL! Caught with their pants down!

I take out hookers the old-fashioned way with chocolate and flowers, take them to dinner and a nice birthday present afterwards. Not much different from simply have a price list of so much per BJ, but not quite as efficient.

Mr Williams has his little blue pill does he? Realistically, if you live in the area that houses and feeds the Hobo's, why would you not expect criminal behaviour?

Too many Mexicans? Really?

I hate to see stuff like this. Prostitution should be legal and safe.

What a load of backwater BS. You phony Puritans should be ashamed of yourselves publishing people's names in the newspaper like this. What about publishing the photo of the "lure" that entraped them? In case you aren't aware of it, entrapment is illegal. The "justice" system gets away with it though because they have the backing of the dimwits. Those DUI "checkpoints" are illegal too - "your papers please" - but you good little Germans won't complain a bit, will you now.

Finally going after the prostitutes & their customers.

Eureka is becoming a cesspool with homeless & hookers all over Old Town, the warehouse part of town & the north end of Broadway.

make it legal and open up some really cool brothels. MOJO was asking for the "Old Humboldt County" to come back...if you do your historical research about the old humboldt county, you might change your mind there MOJO...then, later,in the 70s oldtown was a boarded up redlight district, with broken down wooden docks that bums lived under and if you recall we had no Boardwalk at all...things have gotten way better in humboldt over the last 50 years no doubt. we here in humboldt gotta start making sure our Prostitutes are young and hot though. these old toothless things are just gross and they give our city a bad name. If they were hot young girls...no one would care. your all lames!

Why is gambling an acceptable vice while prostitution is not? Let us be truly free and open up all of the vices.

Prostitutes were walking the streets of Eureka long before the new library and you were in Eureka.
Maybe you should move to another neighborhood or lend your support to making prostitution legal which is the only way it will be removed from the streets.

maybe this could be the new industry humboldt so badly needs since the timber, fishing and pot industries have all gone south. it does not offer benefits, but neither does wal-mart and the pay is better... and it might actually bring in some of those tourism dollars you guys are always talk about... win-win!

I'm glad that they are arresting the men too. Maybe now you can walk down the street as a woman alone in Old Town and not be offered 'rides' 4 times. Maybe you can sit on a corner and look at the bay and people will think you are just Sitting on a Corner Looking at the Bay and that's all. I've been tempted to yell 'If you have to ask, you can't afford it!' when they stop. Or maybe a sandwich board that says 'Not A Hooker'.
