Glenn Shankle, the executive director of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, is urging approval of a permit to dump uranium waste in Andrews county in West Texas.
Now what does that have to do with "evironmental quality"?!!! How did that guy get the job anyway? Rick Perry probably appointed him.
Sounds like a corruption scandal to me. WCS (Waste Control Specialists) a politically connected (to Gov. Perry) company contributed $500,000. to Gov. Perry and his appointee, Mr. Shankle, is urging approval of the permit to dump the uranium waste. That is corruption!
How can the citizens of Texas stand by idly while this scandalous crime is being forged?
The governer sells the interests of the citizens of Texas for a $500,000. donation (to the republican party mind you) and the citizens of Andrews County Texas are appeased with a plate of barbecue and a couple of beers.
How ignorant can one be? The environment and ground water will be contaminated for thousands of years to come but a 1/2 a million donation for the governor and a plate of cue for the citizens makes up for it. Fantastic!
