I found this on the internet about Michelles. I would prefer that because it would be a lot more fun.

I like michelles. Both are good. In my opinion Michelle is way more laid back and fun. Olivia is more serious and strict. Can't go wrong with either choice.

We do Oliva's and love it. We started last year with the summer program just to try it out. It's been great. My daughter has really learned a lot and absolutely loves going. Another plus is that Oliva's only does recital every other year

I would choose michelles, she is much more laid back and down to earth. Olivas to strict and thinks highly of herself like shes to good for anyone.

If you want your child to learn proper technique, then go to Oliva. If you want to spend your money to have your child taught be unqualified teenagers then go to Michelle. Oliva is qualified to teach all genre of dance and you won't have to send your child to Crowley for pointe or Ville Platte for gymnastics. As far as being strict, must not be too bad when the kids don't want to leave when the classes are over. There is room for both studios here in town. The choice is yours. I know students who were at Oliva's went to Michelle's and went back to Oliva because of the quality.

Michelle's is poorly run and badly organized. Oliva's is tightly run, but done well. Your kids will have fun with Oliva, but they will learn much too.

I went to both as a child, and as a mother, I much prefer Oliva. If I am going to pay someone to instruct my child I want them to be instructed by the best-who takes it seriously and has the recognition and awards to show for it. But do your own homework-visit both studios as a pop-in. Sit in on a class, ask about student awards, credentials, and titles. That may help if youre serious about it....

I think that given my child's age it's going to have to be fun for her to learn anything. Proper technique is not something that should be stressed too too much with a seven year old. I want to enrich her life, not rob her of her childhood. I just want her to have what she wants and I could care less if she takes home any awards. I mean damn. Is it that important really? And I think the better choice our of the two schools would be the one where the kids are not stuck up and the parents are nice to me.

Proper technique should always be taught and it can be taught in a fun, enthusiastic way. I tried both studios and my daughter much prefers Oliva's Studio. There she is taught by qualified, dance educated instructors. The class is never turned over to student assistants, there is always a graduated instructor with each class. That is very important as far as I'm concerned. I've never experienced "stuck up" kids or not nice parents at Oliva's. Maybe it is your attitude.

Olivas girls dance together & they don't just do one thing. These girls have no techique & dont dance together Michelle's seem to be off on all the dances. Maybe Michelle should spend time at her studio & hire qualified dance teachers. Send a lot of those kids back to basics. And dress those girls Really they need cloths.

I am an oliva dancer. I danced with her my entire life and taught at the studio quite a few years. I cannot say I've been to Michelle's because my mom never wanted to waste her money. The question u need to ask yourself is what u want out of ur money. Do u want her to have fun and do whatever she wants? Or do u want her to actually learn technique? People that say oliva is strict are ignorant and probably didn't like her rules. Oliva has certain ways she likes things done and if u don't follow the rules she will damn well let u know. People think that olivas STRUCTURE Means STRICT AND MEAN!! That's bs! Oliva is AWESOME!!!!

My daughter goes to Michelle's and we LoVe it there!! My daughter loves going because it is such a fun atmosphere and the music is not classical it's up to beat and fun! Mrs. Haley is such an awesome dance teacher! I would never take my child out of Michelle's. Recital to me is so rewarding for the girls and I am so happy Michelle does it every year I look forward to it just as much as my daughter does!

Ha what a waste of money! When do they learn technique if they do recital every yr? Wait I didn't realize Oliva just used classical music. Was that what they were tapping to? And doing hip hop?....whatever!

Think about ur child's school and education. Would u want a class of chaos and no teaching of the correct way to add, subtract, read? No of course not! So why spend money on michelle? Oliva is fun too and uses Great music. She has professionals working for her and not only will ur child learn but she will have fun there too while u get ur money's worth :-)
