I do not have a horse in this race, but I think it is shameful that Texas students have to pay for not just the band paraphernelia mentioned, but also for ALL expenses for speech/debate teams, etc. I guess Football truly is king, and nothing else matters. What a shameful situation. The students who are on your speech team usually go on to become attorneys and elected officials and judges. But they were not supported by their high school, right?
