My stalking ex husband broke into my home and stole my property and the Irving police told me it was community property.... Not only did they allow him to get away with it, they made the police report disappear. since when do divorced ppl have community property? I think Irnving PD is one of the most corrupt and enabling departs to ever exisit. i later found out that my drug addicted ex husband of two yrs is a drug informant... way to go irvings finest... you are real winners

I use to hangout in Irving but since I always get pulled over and f@$&@ with I go around Irving is I have to do anything near by them. They are stuck ass holes who find anything to flex there nuts. They are always speeding around in there chargers like if the is a high speed chase they have nothing better to do! Hopefully I never half to go down that way anytime soon but if do I will always go around it. Screw the Irving police!

For you disrespectful people. Try being a Veteran or a Police Officer. I doubt you'd speak of things you do not know then. How could anyone call us stupid or that all we do is bother when we sacrifice so much? The pay isn't much for the work and there are still those who try their best with integrity and dedication. How about you learn about grammar and spelling before offending others. If they step out of line keep calm and collected as an adult should, keep track of times, officer's name/badge number, and paper evidence, then logically proceed to reporting the individual. We all make humane mistakes. It's a part of life, deal with it. Also, expect consequences for not following the law, how else would it be fair for citizens and tax payers of any city?

I could tell you worse things about the IPD. They are corrupt, lazy, stupid, and it goes on. They are motivated by revenue, and revenue alone. When it comes to catching criminals, they back them so they don't have to deal with them.
someone needs to tell u you can take the irving police department to court and win this case by law they have to give you a certin amount of time unless the vehicle is obstructing traffic
you can win this case if you try to get the information u need to contest this case through irving courts that is your right if u do nothing u get what u get a large amount of money gone.

I was driving home Tuesday night and had an engine knock. I pulled over on the shoulder of the bridge where the service road of 161 goes over Hwy 114. I was well off the roadway, not impeding traffic in any way. I called my wife, and found a towing service that could come pick up my SUV. Here are the times that everything happened, times coming from call I made and received from my cell phone, and my receipt from the City of Irving.
6:10 Called my wife (in Arlington) that I had broke down and I was calling tow services
7:22 Wife came to pick me up – talked to tow service who had just finished a drop off and was on the way
8:13 Tow truck driver made the first pass where my SUV was supposed to be and it had already been towed by Irving PD.
So in 51 minutes my SUV was towed and impounded.
Went to the impound facility in Irving – here’s their timeline
According to the dispatcher at IPD, they received a call from “someone” that my SUV was a traffic hazard.
7:49 Tow company called
8:10 SUV towed
8:37 SUV received at impound
8:56 I picked up SUV
I find it hard to believe that between 7:22 and 7:49 they received a call, investigated an SUV on the side of the road, and called a tow service.(If so, that’s great response time!) Especially when I sat in the SUV from 6:10 and 7:22 and no one stopped to help, or a call made at that point.
Basically, giving the tow company 10 minutes to load the vehicle, my SUV was there for less than 40 minutes. Should they not give “reasonable time” to move a vehicle? By the way -$128 for the tow and 19 minutes of impound. That is horrible!
You should always stay with your car until it is towed. You yourself is the only one to blame.... Duh

I must agree with everyone's comments. The Irvin Police is lazy and careless. A guy hit 3 cars yesterday at 3:30pm on McCarthy Blvd and I365 and, I was in one of the car and the police automatically ask all the formers for proof of insurance but never to the white guy, whom created the accident. The police never check that his insurance was cancelled and gave him a citation for crossing a red light.
Irving Police is you don't like your job, let someone else do the right job for the citizen that pay your salary

Five hundred dolla ticket, your kidding right? I hope you are, but somehow I don't think so. Most of the time our phones correct many of our grammar and spelling errors and sometimes they cause a few mistakes. I don't believe any phone could have corrected enough of your so called paragraph and it definately couldn't have made as many errors as you did because you dolla are a complete idiot, and I say that with a heavy heart. That cop should of given you a ticket then ask the judge to make you use that money for some tutoring. How does that sound?
