Simple question. Why have no Bigfoot carcasses been found? They must die at some point right? With the amount of "sightings" you would figure a person would have stumbled on a carcas.

It is a great question and one that surely has to be asked and considered by the bigfoot community. There have been a few bigfooters to address this and some believe they may bury their dead or that its somewhat like a needle in a haystack kind of thing for someone to come across a carcass. As with many bigfoot questions sadly there are no real concrete answers to many good questions.

I believe that there are several reasons bones have not been found. One, the soil in most forests is highly acidic, and it helps break down bone fragments quickly. I have seen over 10 bears near my home in just the last couple of years, however, in my 30 years of trekking all over these mountains (I know every nook and cranny) I have never found a carcass. I rarely even stumble on a deer carcass.

Second is scavengers. Squirrels, Chipmunks, Skunks, Raccoons, Opossums, mice, rats, coyotes, wolverines, wolves, bears, etc all can quickly consume a carcass, the larger animals consuming mostly the meat and organs, and the smaller ones consuming the bones to help file teeth and to introduce vital minerals into their diet. In fact, my uncle once drug a road killed deer off the road in front of his house and into a creek bottom behind his home. Within a week, the deer was completely gone. Bones, meat, hooves, all gone except for a few hairs.

I have a hard time believing that a sasquatch could bury an 8 or 9 foot tall 800 pound animal without tools in a root filled and rocky environment such as most forests. And, to be honest, I believe that 90% of sightings are either a hoax or false identification. I mean, people have been fishing the high seas for hundreds of years now, but up until several decades ago, the Celocanth was thought to be extinct. That is until one was caught. So, it is possible for them to exist in my opinion. I just think it is highly unlikely that they exist outside of the wilderness in the Western US. I want to believe that they exist, I'm just not fully convinced without the solid scientific proof lacking in the discussion.
