If not for the media the march on Wall Street would equate to a gnat fart in a football stadium. Marchersí demands are popular amongst their ranks but the vast majority of Americans are not buying their marxist idiocy.
Who in their right mind wants to associate with nitwits who scrutinize the net worth of others and then demand government take it away? Isnít that the method of operation for a pack of thieves?
Itís safe to assume marchers also scrutinize each otherís net worth during their abundant off time. Perhaps one may have more Ramen noodles than another or a car that runs or more beads or more Jerry Garcia memorabilia, etc. Surely itís an environment for envy and jealously to flourish.

I can't wait until Nov 2012 when the pride-less, lazy, government sheep and when their government handouts are cut back and unemployment actually has an ending date. I can guarantee you that they will miraculously find jobs.
And before anyone gets their hackles up there are jobs available. Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Lowe's are always hiring...just to name a few. Besides the 2000+ jobs in North Dakota if you want to relocate.

Would expect this kind of nonsensical reply coming from from Oregon's armpit. So how's that Koch Industries payoff going slick? Still sucking the hind tit?

HOME DEPOT...
"In 2008 and 2009, with the downturn in the housing market, The Home Depot announced the layoff of several thousand associates, as well as the closing of 54 stores nationwide, including the entire EXPO Design Center chain.[16][17] In the year to February 2009 sales totaled $71.288 billion, more than $20 billion down from the peak of two years earlier due to the sale of HD Supply and falling revenue at the retained business."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Home_Depot

The housing "down turn" hasn't stopped.

I called HD in Eugene. While it's true they are hiring, it is only seasonal and VERY part time. How is anyone going to support a family on that?

Walmart Only hires VERY, VERY part time. You might consider complaints...

As to the "jobs" in North Dakota.....

"First you tell me there are lots of jobs in ND. In the next sentence you say there are no places to live if one did actually go to ND. There are blizzards in ND. Well now, that does present a problem, don't ya think? That's it? Those "abundant" jobs are in ND? Got news for ya...those jobs are OIL PIPE LINE JOBS... The pipe line is going to be defeated and POOF... There go all your so called abundant jobs."
NB

Why do you constantly tell these people about the "ABUNDANT JOBS" when that just ISN'T THE CASE! FACT...most "jobs" (I call them "jobettes") are VERY part time...5 to 20 hours a week. How are you supposed to pay even the most basic rent?

Want to address what's going to happen to the job market when all our soldiers come home?

What do you think is going to happen in 2012? Do you think the republicans are going to win? LOL...sorry guy...they are all getting out of the same clown car!

Given the results of last weeks election and the defeat/recall of
Sen. Russell Pearce is a good start.

So, if you get your wish and people get cut off of unemployment, what do you think is going to happen? I'm sure you'd like to see Food Stamps cut off, too. If that happens, what do you think is going to happen? You'd...we'd.. all had better give these things some thought!

You are quite the naysayer aren't you. If I took everything you said to heart I would be totally depressed. I bet you are really fun at parties.
What you need to give thought to is getting rid of Obama and his ilk and get a tea party candidate in the white house that actually believes in smaller government and the free market.
"If I took everything you said to heart I would be totally depressed."

I didn't generate those FACTS. The housing boom is OVER. Of course, most people could figure out that home improvement stores are going to be losing business. I think you are ABSOLUTELY CRUEL for telling readers there are ABUNDANT JOBS. That is crap!

Well, those are the FACTS. Sorry if they don't support your RWL BS.

Here are some more FACTS. The FACT IS....there are about 14 million unemployed in the county. FACT... there were only 80,000 jobs (jobettes) created in Oct. Do the math, genius.

As to your INSANE hatred of Obama...I understand what he is. I also understand the American people weren't really given a choice, were we? And we are not going to have a choice in 2012 either, are we? In fact, the American people haven't had a real choice since the 2000 election. What me to explain THAT to you?

Look up the word ANARCHY. THAT word describes your "Tea Party" and most critical thinking citizens are beginning to "get it". That is why the Tea Party is losing momentum.

"Anarchism is a political philosophy which considers the state undesirable, unnecessary, and harmful, and instead promotes a stateless society, or anarchy. Anarchists seek to diminish or even eliminate reliance upon authority in the conduct of human relations, but thus have widely disagreed on what additional criteria are essential or beneficial to anarchism and human society."
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Anarchism

If you think things are going to change in 2012, OTHER THAN THE ANNUNAKI ARRIVING(lol)....GUESS AGAIN. Really, you can't look at the republican presidential candidates and see nothing but a bunch bat shit crazy wing nuts, with not a prayer if winning the title of DOG CATCHER much less leader of the "free world"? You think beating Obama in 2012 is going to fix things? OH...if things were only that simple. If you look really close, you can see Obama's strings be pulled by the global banking cartels. How do you plan of getting rid of the global banking cartels?

You really need to go see a doctor about that inter-cranial rectal inversion!....AND stop listening to that RWL talk show garbage.

Is it easier to get a job if you're homeless? Let's do some math.

The federal minimum wage is $7.25/hour.$7.25 X 20 hours =$145.00

FROM THAT SUBTRACT 33%=$47.85. TOTAL TAKE HOME PAY...$97.00.

Do you SERIOUSLY THINK anybody in any town or city is going to be able to afford housing OF ANY KIND on a wage of $97.00 per week.

If you do, that says to me you have no real life experience and you're living in mommy's basement.

Except "welfare", for all practical purposes, came to an end in 1996 with the passage of the "Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996".

Republicans Out to Trim Welfare Again

"The 1996 reform, among other changes, set a 60-month time limit on federal cash benefits and gave states flexibility to run programs in exchange for generous-but-fixed block grants.

Between 1996 and 2008, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) rolls plummeted by 70 percent,(in some cases, depending on the state, the rolls fell 85%...NB) from an average of 12.3 million recipients to 3.7 million recipients.

I'm agreeing with you. Working at low paying blue collar jobs does not pay if you make enough to lose 5 years of cash benefits + food stamps + rent/housing assistance + child care assistance + low/no cost health care + transportation assistance ( public transportation or car payment)+ heat/utilities/fuel assistance. For some, you have far more if you don't work. Like you said, it's simple math. It appears to be the goal of the occupyers to help the poor. If we lower requirements and raise benefits, will there be more people or fewer people looking for assistance?

IF "we" lower requirements and raise benefits....

WHO'S "WE"? What you are suggesting would take an act of congress.

Why would "WE" do that? People wants JOBS...NOT welfare! So, what is your point?

"WE" don't vote on budget funding for welfare, food stamps, unemployment or social security. That is all done by the legislative bodies both federal and state.

Come on Nancy. Where do legislative bodies get their people? Don't think it works that way? One word - obamacare. WE voted to give the democrats complete control.

Back to the 'occupyers'. If they don't want more for the poor then they just want more. The tactic I don't understand is calling big business, like Apple and GE, the root of all evil. Those companies hire people and generally pay better than the small mom and pop stores. And why all the violence, the assaults, the shooting, rapes and trashing parks?

@Rusty
I said those things are determined by legislative bodies. Of course WE vote on who's going to represent us. Do you REALLY think these POLITICIANS do the peoples bidding once they hit Washington? The PHARMACEUTICAL CORPORATIONS, alone, have more lobbyists than there are members of congress and have spent over $2MILLION in the past year buying influence, i.e., buying congress. There is how things are SUPPOSE to work..then there is REALITY.

OBAMACARE? lol Obamacare, as you call it,(never mind CONGRESS was the one tweaking and voting on it) was a HUGE sell out to the Pharma corporations. LOL You people who are so ingrained in this right-left paradigm, you just really don't have a clue! WE the people elected Obama on the promise of single payer health care. WE the people got screwed. You don't think we know that?

THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A RWL SLOGAN AND PROPAGANDA. It doesn't EVEN make any sense. Try again.

"I don't understand is calling big business, like Apple and GE, the root of all evil."

WELL, THAT IS CERTAINLY AN EXAGGERATION! They aren't evil...they are cheaters. They don't pay taxes on 100's of millions of dollars stashed off shore. Oh yes, GE and Apple hire people alright...FROM OVERSEAS!

"The latest data show that multinationals cut 2.9 million jobs in the United States and added 2.4 million overseas between 2000 and 2009."

http://caffertyfile.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/27/...

As to the crime at OWS...there are 10's of THOUSANDS of people at these protests throughout the U.S. and Europe. They do attract some predators and misfits just like the Tea Party protests. I've seen violence at a CATHOLIC KIDS CARNIVAL...I've seen violence at NASCAR RACES, I've seen violence at Walmart...people fighting over TOYS! So, be careful about pointing fingers!

OWS security has dealt with crime by increasing citizens patrols, setting up a space for women and developing a strategy to deal with disturbances. I wonder what the percentage of REAL crime at OWS...not getting arrested for being a protester...is compared to regular everyday crime for the area.

"Across the precinct, there has been a rise in the number of crimes reported and arrests made in the four weeks leading up to Sunday compared with the same period last year: this year there were 446 criminal complaints, up from 362 last year, and 404 arrests, up from 323 during the same four weeks in 2010. But the number of summonses issued for criminal activity fell by a third to 205, from 330 last year."

"BUT THE NUMBER OF SUMMONSES ISSUED FOR CRIMINAL ACTIVITY FELL BY A THIRD TO 205, FROM 330 LAST YEAR."
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/09/nyregion/at...

In other words...there were arrests of protesters included in the stats...but actual crime BEING PROSECUTED WAS DOWN.

Shootings? There has been one shooting OUTSIDE the boundaries of the Oakland OWS that had noting to do with the protest. The other "shootings" were 2 suicides one of which was a veteran. You know...you really should at least try to get a better perspective rather than just eat the crap Fox spoon feeds you.

Yeah, I know I can write. Thanks. I think you have totally underestimated who and what I am. You told me about yourself so I'll do they same for you. I, too, retired at 56 after working 43 years doing various things. For the last 20 years of my working life, I worked hospice and home health. I have 5 kids that I raised by myself. While raising those kids, I went to school and got my nursing degree then started my own business. Of course, there is more to the story, but that would take a book.

There ARE people leaving this country...by the droves. Look up ex-patriot sites.

I'm not wallowing in Ayn Rand...LOL! Where ever do you get that idea? The fact is, Alan Greenspan, who has been running this country's finances and the Federal Reserve from the late 1970's to 2006, was a protege of Ayn Rands. It has been her influence, "The Virtue of Selfishness" that has guided or misguided this country for the past 30-35 years. It was Greenspan's mistakes and deregulation that have lead the U.S. to where we are today. He Even apoligized for making this economy such a mess. I'm certainly NOT wallowing in Rand's misguided philosophy nor am I blind to anything! Have you ever considered that it might me you that is stuck in neo-con land? Rand's opus magnum, "Atlas Shrugged", is the blue print for the NWO. Have you read it?

The Tea Party? NO THANKS. The Tea Party are basically anarchists. I would NEVER be caught acting like this...

This is a guy with Parkinson's disease being harassed by Tea Partiers.

This is an interview with the same guy...
http://www.youtube.com/watch...

This Tea Partier is clearly in need of the medical/mental help.
http://www.youtube.com/watch...

Pretty scary..eh? Nope..no thanks..

Look, this isn't about right or left. It's about the globalists..which we ARE NOT going to be able to stop. What we can do is exactly what the OWS is doing, resist and TRY to make sure WE don't get screwed.

It's really cool that you were able to pull yourself up like you did..BUT.. things have changed. The America we grew up in is pretty much gone and what's left is in danger of being taken over from within. WE have to stop fighting each other and fight the global minions of international banking cartels. BTW...Guess who Obama's biggest contribute is..That's right...Goldman Sachs. Now do you understand...I
GET IT!

"The Obama administration is infested with people with ties to Goldman Sachs. Goldman was Obamaís biggest campaign contributor ($994,795) in 2008 and before that as a candidate to the Senate. Rahm took in $80,000 from Goldman Sachs as a Congressman and was on a $3,000 a month retainer from Goldman while he worked as Bill Clintonís chief fund raiser."
