Man dies after allegedly assaulting neighbor in N. Iowa

A man assaulted his neighbor in her northern Iowa home, and authorities believe he killed himself after the neighbor escaped for help. via WQAD-TV Moline

I just want to start off saying that it is NOT TRUE I have known Tracy for about 3 years and I have done lots of things with him and my daughter and I have spent hours either on the phone daily or in person riding or just joking around and there is no way in HELL that he did this he was not in a bad place that day I know cause my husband and I talked to him at 9:30 in the morning and then he tried to talk to me between 12:30 -1:00pm he had a bad connection or something cause we had to try 6 times to talk and the phone died he told me he was going to ride Cutter one of his horses and maybe take out another horse there at his moms and dads nothing about him going hunting he was not upset he was joking and laughing and called to see how I was doing . Tracy is NOT A MAN who would ever do this and about a 11/2 weeks ago we were talking about the fact he has done a few bad things in his day but the one thing he never has done would never hit a woman not ever. Last year at a horse show at the Spencer Fair Grounds some of you may not know that his crazy ex-wife tried to kill him by stabbing him starting from the back to the front and he NEVER EVER HIT HER OR THOUGHT OF HITTING HER you people on this web site make me violently ill you have some nerve to trash or say anything about this man other then he LOVED HIS SON AND DAUGHTER he loved riding . He was a wonderful dad and a good son and an even better friend who would do anything for anyone no matter what. Also one more thing a man who is going to kill themselves does not make plans with anyone and he had them with me my daughter ember my dear friend and grand daughter this weekend and also with another trainer I know HE DID NOT DO THIS THEY DID. I wish Bill and Barb my deepest sympathy and hope one day we can clear his name and he will be remembered for who he was a awesome dad and horseman who every one who meets him loves him I know I did !!!!

Do you really think he would have said, "hey, later on today I'm going to go by my neighbour's house, assault her and then shoot myself in her home...sorry I won't be able to make it tonight"?! Do you suppose this woman hit HERSELF in the back of the head with a gun so hard that she is lucky to be alive? Maybe after her intense acting lessons so that she could convince people (while bleeding from the back of her head and riding in the ambulance on the way to be air lifted to hospital) of this story, huh. There have been many serial killers whose neighbours and friends were completly dumbfounded when they were found guilty of their crimes. Sometimes the people we think we know turn out to be totally different. Sorry you lost your friend, but my thoughts are with the victim of this crime, not the guy who did it.

When you say "He did not do this they did" Who are you referring to? They, meaning the victim,(she was alone at the time) coaxed Tracey into the home, bashed her own head in and then, what shot him?? I don't think so.

and yes I did learn about the fact that Tracey was stabbed by his wife. I also heard that she wasn't charged for the stabbings because of the severe beatings she received on a regular basis. Basically it sounds like it was self defence. Maybe just hear say.

Regardless, I know Colleen Pattison is a very lucky and strong lady to be able to fight off her attacker, and get away. I am sorry you lost a friend, who knows what actually goes on in one's head. Something must have snapped in his.

I feel for Tracey's family, but like the last posting, my thoughts are too with the victim of the crime, not the one who did it.

I just wanted to say you do not know much. Or you do not watch much tv cause on the news it said that her husband and son were there and found him dead I have the tape. So when I say they did it DUH it means them do you get it now? Also Candy was to charged stupid she went to jail cause she used Tracys horses for bond so check your story and it just shows how little you know. She also tried to break in his parents house with a gun to shoot him yeah she was abused okay Look I have been beaten before and I will tell you I would not have gone after my abuser to afarid so please try and do some research before you get dumber and look any more stupid on this web site.

Well I will tell you people who are going to kill themselves do act in a certain way I know because my new husbands wife killed herself and I unlike you checked out info before I ran my mouth it might do you some good to do the same and how do you know her husband didnt hit her and set Tracy up I have it from a very good source that those people are drug users and very big liers so think about it maybe he rode his horse by and saw a drug deal or meth lab or something he shouldnt so they had to kill him to keep him quiet and no TRACY WAS NOT EVER A DRUG USER cause I know you people will go there next and I have also talked to a special agent on the phone but due to all you retarded lame and uninformed gossip seeking web junkies I do not dare say any info I have learned but I will say this she has changed her story 3 times so far so you say how did she do it her self and some trash about acting lessons maybe she should stop lying to everyone and come up with I dont know THE TRUTH oh since your a relative hows the drugs in your part?

Actually, if you read the article you began commenting on, it says that he drove his truck to her house, not rode a horse as you state in your little senario. Perhaps it is you who needs to check the facts. Also, the reports on the web do not state that her husband and son were there, so I don't know what you're watching on tv. As for being "gossip seeking": there is a difference between gossip and news and this is supposed to be a news site, which is why I visited it to hear more about this report. Unfortunately I had to read the garbage in your original post which IS strictly gossip, and which I couldn't leave undisputed, but since I have no more interest in reading your gossip, this will be my last response to you. Fact: Lady has a massive head wound "escapes" to his car and drives it for help yet no blood in the vehicle was found.

Fact: If attacked by him, no way on earth she escapes, sorry.

Fact: She has given 3 stories to authorities contradicting herself while husband and son left w/out being talked to. Son has since dissappeared. Hmm.

Fact: One doesnt commit suicide w/ a revolver by shooting himself in the chest at another persons house when he has 2 rifles in his car.
