You business owners who are complaining about not being able to make it in the winter month's, I for one can sympathize with you, but I really can't feel sorry for you. I was almost in your boat many years ago, when I came here looking for a business to buy that would support me into my retirement years. After researching different businesses and reviewing their books, I discovered that making a living in Estes Park wouldn't be easy, and I decided to stay put until I could have a big enough nest egg to enable me to live comfortable in Estes Park. Apparently, from what is mentioned above, you want the town to change to your ways and take care of you. Yes, it's a cruel world out there, but adjustments need to be made on our part to be successful. Don't depend on others.

stupid comment. Nothing else to say, when the business tax base helps fund the town coffers, it only makes sense to get some changes to help those same businesses succeed, especially after the recent flood issues and loss of 2 months revenue and more.
Another "happy in my retirement so why should I care about anyone else", retiree in Estes.
