I feel sorry for the businesses involved, and find it hard to believe that The Donut Haus was not formerly informed by the town of it's intentions. But what does the town care. Let me get this straight. The town geniuses want to take, lets say, 20,000 cars going two directions and make it 20,000 cars in one direction. Brilliant. And Brian Schaeffer, since when did you become a traffic engineer? Stick to your windows.

That Brians window business would not be impacted to the point of putting him completely out of business like so many others who face exactly that by a project like this, easy to support a project that has no negative impact on you personally.
Try looking at it from our point of view.

Here's a suggestion that would work for everyone: Instead of creating a two way, double lane on E. Riverside connecting to Moraine, why not just expand the roadway from where E. Riverside and W. Riverside split and make E. Riverside the new thoroughfare and have it loop around Picadilly Square on the west side and joining into Moraine that way? Can that not be done? By the looks of the map, it seems a plausible way and the business won't have to close and W. Riverside can stay quiet.

Sorry, that should say instead of creating a 2 way on WEST Riverside....:-)

Have any of you contacted your city councilmen/women? Instead of waiting on them to contact you, start burning up their phone lines and demand they meet with you. You have to keep on them or they'll run right over you. I want to see you guys succeed in getting this either stopped or replanned. Just trying to help because I love EP and hope to move there one day.
