Wow! What responsible action by the trustees. By the time the horses get what they want, the cost will be over $2million. How much does the 5-day rodeo and the hunter and jumper program each summer bring in?? Has the Town government done a study to show how many more people come in Town for these events versus the week previous and after the event?
Of course not. If the Trustees think that supporting such events will brighten the future of Estes Park, think again. How about supporting the arts, or rebuilding part of Elkhorn Ave to get rid of some of the tee shirt stores and expanding outdoor seating for a real restaurant? Town planning by our govt is non-existent. Only using money to improve Bond Park to increase retail sales for mor junk tents each weekend.
