strong support for Estes Medical Center??? Really??? What a stupid thing to say! The vote had nothing to do with supporting a failing hospital. They voted to send it to the voters...

Correction. They didn't vote to send it to the voters. The town by-laws state that "Any land owned by the town that would be for sale has to go before the people for a vote." Now let's hope the people use good sense when they vote.

Brian,

You don't need big money to provide good care for the Estes Valley. You need to turn your head and support the hard working local people that make up the clinical side of your business venture and cut the spending idiots off at the neck (this may result in a self inflicted wound).

While I'm giving advice, listen to what the experienced clinical providers that work their a**es off for the patients have to say without instilling a fear in them of firing MORE staff, and you may begin to get ahold of the runaway train you were just lured the cab of.

Best advice: don't turn a cold shoulder on critical comments about what the hospital is doing- the hospital deserves everything it gets, just stand in the atrium and soak in the beauty. That's beauty, at the cost of patient care. THAT is why your new facility is having trouble: beauty over care.

Building a new super-duper wellness center isn't going to save the community hospital, good care will, and you sir, do not appear to be advocating for good care.

A feather in your cap as the CEO will not help us out, and I think you should be ashamed that your entire presentation so far has been EFFICIENCY! NEW WELLNESS CENTER! CUT JOBS!

Ashamed.
