How terrible.. We've visited the Estes Park area, staying on Ramshorn Mountain many times.. Does not appear that it was involved, though is near the "Y" camp.

As I arrived at the fire. There were people sitting on the front of their house, gasping for air. The fire was already halfway engulfing their house. Behind them I noticed a man squirting the fire. So I tried to get the water hose from him and all he had was shorts and shoes. He rejected me taking the hose. He was determined to get the fire out. I ran around the house and saw a tree catch on fire. The man wouldn't leave. So when I saw his car I told him to move it. And then we looked up and we never really thought to to go into his house and grab his stuff. That will always stick in my mind. That he had to watch his stuff burn. I found out his name is Ben and we work in the same business and now I check on him to see if he is back on him every now and then. I wish him well. And to all of the others effected in the fire.
I do too

I check on him, and he is still standing there with the hose, and I move his car back and forth and we really never think to go into his house, because Dave Tanton is there lighting fireworks and bemoaning the fact that all Estes Park businesses, of which he owns none, will have to board up and declare bankrupcty this year because we didn't agree to light the town on fire after it had already gone up in flames once.
