Firestone salutes veterans embarking on Honor Flight

Hundreds of area residents - as well as first responders from the Firestone and Longmont areas - lined up along Interstate 25 Sunday morning to show their appreciation for World War II and Korean War veterans traveling to Denver International Airport.

The Honor Flight line up at Carbon Valley is hosted by Frederick Firestone Fire Protection District and the Carbon Valley Rotary Club. All other attendees are invited and welcomed, but this is not a Firestone event, it is a northern Colorado event honoring Veterans.
