One aspect of the "wellness center" not readily presented is that is a franchise of Anschutz with ensuing fees and licence.
I spoke with Anschutz administration and they said Vail has turned down Anschutz much for the same reasons we wrestle with; that mountain towns treasure their open space and the people are reserved about the idea. Politics....
John Cullen is not the "sole partner" per say, but a person who purchased a ''letter of intent". Anschutz has consternation , as the letter of intent has not been renewed.
The "wellness" value of their Aurora campus is hard to disseminate. They have a fitness center, but, that applies only to the overall trend of exercise, instruction,etc...appertaining to new health trends. As there is no set money value on the "wellness" constituent, it's easy to see why EPMC has a hard time setting numbers to Anschutz's new premise.
And it is new, our proposed Community Center is more akin to what now exists at Anschutz. The Franchise is unproven.
It has been a good Public Forum, and I see little animosity regardless of the votes outcome, as the democratic process has seen it's full extent. There is no "shame" in that.

So, voters of Estes. You see what is at stake here. There are two camps. One for big money development, the other for preserving the natural surroundings. Its your choice.
