you personally know this person? How can you be so sure that it is an illegal citizen? Pretty quick to judge without knowing all the facts.
Any chance

For those of us that know the Spooners this is of course a very tragic thing. They are(were) vital members of this community. I can only imagine how much John must be suffering mentally and physically.

Whether or not they are illegally here the fact remains that he was driving without a valid license. Which probably leads to insurance not being carried either. I know I am not the only person who has seen a vehicle with Mexico plates with expired tags. Maybe all of us have assumed that the other person will call this in to the police. Perhaps it is time to be more vigilant( no, not VIGILANTE) and report these vehicles and perhaps begin sending the people who aren't here legally back home.

While this may have all been an accident, what remains is that a person was driving without a license. I feel the same way about US citizens who drive with no license, no auto insurance and expired plates. A fair an even application of the law to all people is not too much to ask.

FIRST a moment of silence for the Spooners and a thought to our own mortality in the blink of an eye. It makes me think of balancing my own account. Tomorrow may not come. Peace be with you.

Ah, breath that cool, crisp mountain air.

I've tried to drive in the Safeway parking lot. I could put together a nice little list of wrinkly azz bumper car pilots that I would like to..."defer".

I mean, all things fair and all things safe? Right?
