We were driving on Fish Creek Road just after the cub had been found by the water and just prior to Colorado Parks and Wildlife arrived. We spoke to some people who lived in the area and they were all so concerned about this situation. What a cruel, heartless person to shoot a cub. The poor Mama Bear was was extremely distraught. I hope whoever did this sleeps well at night. I can still hear Mama Bear calling to her cub. How incredibly sad.

Highly suspect a neighbor that may have been upset it was getting into something may have done this. Shooting a bear cub, how heartless. A dude ranch up there killed a mature problem bear earlier this year that was bothering them. Hope the gutless person is caught and prosecuted fully.

where were you people when all the bears were being exterminated over the past 100 years. Now you are suddenly upset? Make sure you never go into a store that has a bearskin rug, make sure you never take your kids or grandkids to a zoo, make sure you don't own or wear anything made of leather, make sure you don't eat any animal products. We sure have a bunch of bleeding hearts up here all of a sudden over a quadriped. I trust you have done all you can to prevent child abuse and elder abuse in your communities.
