Here we go again. Now we have 70 new jobs projected, up from 55, and still, nobody has made public those job classifications and their commensurate salaries. As stated above, the project COULD generate, is EXPECTED, POTENTIAL revenues, not convincing without hard physical facts. As for John Nicholas, if you want a town with year round jobs etc, why don't you leave EP and try New York, Chicago, Denver , or any other big city and leave EP to those of us who like Ep for what it is? The big cities would welcome your self inflated ego with open arms.

I just saw the attached PDF----I stand partially corrected on the figures. However, they are still only a projection and a what if.

The wellness center COULD potentially raise the alleged 4.7 million, Could, Maybe, Might!
If it actually achieves those numbers, which, seriously folks, is not likely to happen. After the towns "costs", that would leave $792,000.00 on the table a year.
The reality is the true numbers are likely to be half that, because the CSU study is looking at it as a year round, consistent use. Which we all know won't be used by large numbers year round.
The actual amount to be generated from a conservative, reality base estimate based on the number of year round residents is more likely to amount to more like $300,000.00 a year.
If the big name supporters are so sure of this number and project, then put you money where your mouth is, why don't you pledge, that if this project goes forward, then you will make up the difference between what is actually earned, and the projected numbers, out of your own pocket, private funds.
If you're so sure, then bet your own money on it, but I'm betting you won't, because you know you stand to lose your south end!
Come on, step up to the challenge, remember, It's the end all save all can't fail for Estes Park, Let's see you endorse it all the way.

Another thing to consider. There is absolutely no guarantee in the contract signed by the city to sell lot 4 to John Cullen and company, that The proposed Wellness Center will be built. If approved by the voters, John Cullen will own outright 6.88 acres of currently owned public land and be able to do whatever he wants with it. The contract is available for viewing on the town web site. Check it out!
