Protect open space before it is gone

There is not one person who comes to Estes Park that does not think of this area is Paradise. Full Story

A Beautiful exercise in Citizens Public Forum. We all look forward to voting our wills this April. Either way the vote goes, we may all thank John Cullen in being the catalyst. And from my good chance of meeting him thru this process I am sure, void of the outcome, he will be magnanimous.

I am one of many who life in a real life flesh'n'blood community. It is very pretty, yes, but it is not paradise. Newsom, grow up! This community is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of open space. If you think a small windswept lot being developed is going to destroy the beauty that surrounds you, you're an even bigger idiot than your letter makes you sound!

Personally I think Lot 4 would be a great place to move the municipal building out of downtown. It could be built low and very unobtrusive, and designed tastefully as to not detract from the views of the Stanley.

Newsome is not being honest anyway since her Realtor husband, Elmer Fudd, has been selling out estes Park for years. They are speaking out of both sides of her big mouth. They have no interest in open space. What a hypocrit

, the Newson's DO have an interest in open space. They can use the mere presence of it to help sell more and more real estate to out-of-town landowners, which will in turn worsen the already tight to non-existent affordable home market. But hey, Estes Park is a Paradise, correct? No one pays too much in rent, no one goes without meals or any essentials. Why we have not one, but TWO second hand stores -(packed to the gills with the leavings of the recently dead and the discards of those who have been Paradise blessed)- so that the unseemly working class can get clothes and the like. Why, things are so Paradise-y here that we don't even need a radio station or real newspapers, because nothing 'bad' ever happens that needs to be reported on!
