It's all about the money; there is no erosion of the Beach. Keith Laakkonen, the environmental director has only been with the town for about a year and doesnt know anything about Fort Myers beach, of course he going to take the side of the Town. He works for them and gets paid by them, certainly not independent. He's comparing apples to oranges with regards to the east coast verses the west coast. The beach is gaining sand not losing it. That can be seen by all the fact and evidence. Don't be deceived by the Town or County who just wants the $$$$ to keep their budgets and jobs going at the expense of the tax payers and beach front owners.
