In the last three years we have served over 15,000 customers with under 33 complaints. as a hiring consumer, I'll take those odds when hiring a service company any day!

The cheapest fix yet. Well Air Genie we will see how long this one lasts. Jose was EXTREMELY professional. This was the first time a technician actually seemed like they were solid on the ball. He worked most simple problem and didn't have to proceed to complex. He didn't try and up sell me anything (I suspect it's because there is nothing left to sell me)

Blown internal fuse.

$12,000.00 invested in my single unit home AC to date. Typical. Get mad enough and things just seem to work out. Time will tell, but the point is I have multiple service records to date. The original sales was nearly 8000 and within 1.5 years another 4 thousand spent. I will be watching this forum for a while. If my unit has multiple more problems and they estimate at thousands to fix them I will not retract my prior statement.

Forgive my skepticism. This was the first visit of many that didn't end up in A LOT of money being spent.

Concerned customer watching and waiting, it hasn't gotten that hot yet.

So gene you would deni having daily/weekly sales pitching in your office so your techs are not to leave any money on the table? Would you also deni that your techs are on a commission pay? Oh sorry they get ten dollars per call too that they run. Your techs are not true technicians they are mostly sales techs that only make a pay check if they sell something I'm surprised people don't just google a/c sales classes in Florida you will learn a lot about business like yours. Charlie Greer has a course about selling a/c do you send your techs to his courses?

The above comments could be written by me. My husband and I just had a horrific experience with Air Genie. WHy is this company still in business???? What can we do???? Strength in numbers.

DO NOT USE AIR GENIE. The company is unscrupulous and preys on people, especially seniors. Each and every one of the previous complaints could have been written by me. My question is how can this company still be in business?????I have read reviews on different sites and every one Gene Slade spews out a different number of customers. He states he is in 5,000 homes a year. What he fails to say is how many customers ask him to leave their homes and how many of those 5,000 homes are call backs to fix the "made on purpose" mistakes his technicians make. How many of you have heard one of his techs say, "you have to meet with Gene Slade immediately as he is going on holiday for two weeks." Bully tactics. One other thing Gene, you mention people won't use their name on this site. I'm not afraid to use mine it's DONNA MCLAUGHLIN, got it, that's DONNA MCLAUGHLIN. Do I need to spell it out for you.

Air Genie came to repair our air conditioner and told us they would check to see if the old one was under warranty. They lied and said it wasn't They charged $2600 for a job that should have cost $179. The unit was under warranty. We are taking the to court. Please respond if you have any information.

Mr. Gene Slade Jr., the owner of Air Genie preys on unsuspecting customers. His technician lied to us and told us our air conditioner unit wasn't under warranty. FIRST LIE. They then told us we needed $4,000 in new ductwork. SECOND LIE. Read the stories online, the company preys on people, especially the elderly. We are taking them to court and I will not rest until this company loses their license.

Wow! Really saddened to hear about your experience! Warn your family and friends!! Never trust any "specials" from A/C companies that are that inexpensive - will always turn into a sales pitch!

I know we were suckered into paying so much money to have our unit "fixed." I could just kick myself for not getting a second opinion. It was late when the tech got here, we were tired and new to the area, We agreed to an embarrassing amount of money to "fix" what we needed fixed. PLEASE get a second opinion. We also fell for the $29.00 whatever check up. Do not fall for all their baloney, get that second opinion. We could have purchased a new unit for what we paid. We didn't tell our kids or anyone what we did, we should have known better and feel really taken advantage of. We don't even know what they really did! Get a before and after picture at least

I purchased the best AC unit they offer for $15,000. I still haven't found an AC system close to $ 10,000. cause they told me. that unit has $ 5,000 in extras. even my friends in AZ where its hotter. can't find a $ 7,000 or 8,000 AC unit. they made their 1st service call recently. and tat cost me $ 644. so hat money I'm saving. I will be just using on service calls I thought this was the best system for SWFL I should of called Cond Air. they installed my pool heater. and serviced my old AC. I could of save over $ 10,000 still can't find a Bryant that cost $ 15,000. that's with other companies and Bryant them self. use Angie list or a friend or a company that has been in business long time

technician came out 5/14/..had to return the next day to finish.."Chris" was in our house for 15 minutes, and had just enough time to rummage quickly and steal several pieces of inherited, priceless jewelry items very dear to me. Hard to believe that we paid someone to actually steal from us ! I am just SICK about what he took from us ! Background checks? drug tests? doubt it ! Chris, don't understand how someone can justify stealing someones' things ! Please reconsider what you have done and return my things.

Technician Chris came to our home for promotional check. He was
there just long enough to rummage quickly thru and steal some jewelry that has very personal family meaning. A ring inherited after my mom passed away - and another ring inherited from my sister in law no longer living. Drug tests? back ground checks? DOUBT IT ! This guy was quick and pretty discreet . Nothing like paying to have a service done and being robbed ! Chris was at our home 5/14/....kept thinking he would return my jewelry....beware !!! Chris...you said that you have 4 children ----be a good example and return what is not yours!
