Well moron, not all departments have tasers.
Here's the deal:
(1) He struck a FEMALE officer,(2) he attempted to flee, and (3) upon being caught, he resisted and continued to resist while being arrested.
Given the behavior that he exhibited, no one can possibly guarantee he will not get injured during the arrest. Keep in mind that it was unknown whether or not he possessed any weapons.
Every officer on scene knew that the Eagle Tribune was next to the checkpoint, and as such, they were all aware of bored and hungry news journalists peering out their office windows.
His addiction to opioids and the risky life style HE CHOOSE to live is the reason why he is deceased.
You make your bed, you lie in it.
Doesnt say drugs are the cause of death. Many people take drugs and dont drop dead. It was ruled a homicide. Not too hard to figure out, 1 guy gets beat by how many cops (30?!) who stomp on his back, head and chest. I think if you had a 30, 200 pound guys stomping on your head and chest you'd be dead too whether you ever took drugs or not.

Well moron? I'm not a cop thats why I asked an honest question about Tasers. I know nothing about these things. I didn't insult you in my question. Nice name calling response thank you.

Once a man is handcuffed and taken into custody by the police they are obligated to that mans safety. The police version has been in dispute from the onset by eyewitnesses. They claim a 45 year old man climbed out the window of a vehicle to assault a female police officer in the midst of 30 other officers then took off running. Come on did they rob a bank or something ? Then they claim he just slumped over and became unresponsive. No mention of the force used on him. I bet they wish they looked under his shirt so they could explain the boot marks now.

How's that again? Most of the time, the result of death is extreme inaction.

Hey Too Bad , the police allege he struck a female cop. The driver of the vehicle directly contradicts that. He attempted to flee. Thats right flee. People do that when they are scared hero. He was caught ,handcuffed behind his back and photographed fully conscious. This isn't about an injury genius. Its about a homicide. You insinuate that if the bored and hungry news journalists were not around the officers would have conducted themselves differently. You ought to shut up, you aren't helping the police image any.

how is that okay....30 against 1 in handcuffs...they should have at least taken the cuffs off him and let him fight.....the wife has every right to press charges what the cops did was wrong 100%

Tasers,mace,K-9 why did they not try other means of capturing this guy?? I will say I was not there so I may be out of line but just saying......

to beat someone to death in handcuffs is just plain wrong!!!!!

Where did you read this? This idiot fought with the police and they fought back. If a police officer tells you your under arrest, you have no right to resist, even if you think they are wrong. Take it up with the courts.
What were you doing the night this happened? I was home with my wife and kids. Sounds like this guy was irresponsible and now his wife wants money.
He didn't have a wife and kids. It's his parent. Read all the articles before commenting.
