When is the board going to get out of the
18th century and get the clubs electric
system updated? They let in all these new
members, which is ok, but a lot of them
have campers and there is no where to park
them because the power is so bad you can
not run anything or the areas are closed
waiting for com ed to come and finish the
job. Whats up board members????

or boat. He doesnt care about what the campers
want. now we have a sexual predator that is now
a member. when was the board going to tell the
members about this?????? the board does not tell
the members anything that is going on in the
club...it is time to replace the president with
someone that will let the members know what
they are doing and what they plan to do....
this is our club also. we pay dues. we should have
a say on things going on in the club.

This club is overseen by a board that has or does use its many amenities. Just because the president does not camp, does not mean he is not in touch with the members. He is there almost every day working and keeping things going. There are many other things going on then just camping. The chicken farm is now becoming very well known in the area the trap range is still very popular and the hunting has never been better, in fact last year they gained ground (leased) to hunt just a few miles from the main entrance. I am sorry if your camper was not able to run your many amenties you are camping after all right? Leave the tv and microwave at home. If you don't like it leave the club and go somewhere else.

The club does not have a chicken farm and does
not have a trap range. there is no hunting on
the property, and they have not leased any more
ground. You must be thinking of the sportsmans
club by Essex. The board does not use the
facilities at the firemans club except for one
board member that i talked to the other night.
I pay good money to camp at that particular club so why would i not want the electric to be up to par?? Also, there are many ponds that can be
fished. However, the grass and algae are taking over the ponds and within 5 years 95 percent of the ponds will be unfishable. the board knows of this and does not want to do anything about it. This I know for a fact because i asked the board member about it.

Yes FATBOB i agree that place is going down the dumps.I first too thought u were talking about Essex.That place is really great u should come check it out.As for the beach water in South Wilmington they are always closing the beach because of unhealthy water conditions.Why would u even want to put yourself at risk to swim there?

Regarding your comments about the sexual predator. I definitely feel that this should be disclosed, and would appreciate any information you have on this. I will be camping there this summer, sometimes alone with my young children. I am now having second thoughts about camping alone.

What else can you do besides fishing and going to the beach? Are there hiking trails? Bike paths? Is it hard to get in this campground?

The board at swfc doesn't give a hoot about what anyone that is not in the click down there thinks. If you ain't from the area then forget it.
Some other simple suggestions have been made and they don't even respond with a simple phone call.
I guess everone that is not happy with how things are run down there are stuck with it. Otherwise attend the board meetings! Whenever they are?

Yes, That is true about justin jett. What do you expect his grandfather was in jail for the same thing.His father is still in prison for molesting little girls, it runs in the genes in that family.But his grandfather is on the board so they just pushed it under the rug like normal.The top 4 board members are worthless pieces of shit.Who in their right mind would let that happen.They need a new board!!!!!!!!!! I have talked to the so called President of SWFBC.He is the biggest liar that I have ever talked to.He thinks every body is stupid but him. He even cuts down and back stabs his own board members.That is a real good mentality for a president.
