It speaks volumes that the man's name wasn't used in the article. Is he a citizen or an illegal alien? Give us his name so we can check it out. There is a double standard in this country.Citizens get incarcerated, pay hefty fines, and have to attend years of so called rehabilitative programs (all about the money)and their lives severely altered by loss of license (can't get to work),and lengthy probation periods.Oh,and lets not forget having their names plastered all over the local newspapers. Not saying that its not justifiable in lots of cases, but illegal aliens get set free and are free to go on their merry illegal way.Too much paperwork & hassle I guess. What's good for the American citizen goose should be good for the illegal alien gander, should it not?

He must have good lawyers and soft judges. make the s.o.. live with the lawyer that got him off on some technicality. then maybe this crap would stop.

Don't quite get it...why hasn't his car been seized every time he commits DWI? If it is seized and not returned, he would be prevented from driving. May get drunk but won't be behind the wheel. Must be a very rural county to not have killed someone so far...

Now there's a productive idea! At the very least he should be prohibited from registering any vehicle in any state and/or any vehicle registered at his address (that he has access to) should have an ignition interlock. If he's found driving one without it should be seized

You don't need a license to drive a car! You only need one to dive legally! The point is he more then likly had it taken away before.

If he can't stop drinking and driving, not having a license is not going to stop him.

This is a prime example of why DUI laws need to be tougher. He's obviously getting away with it and it's nothing short of a miracle that he hasn't already killed or maimed someone!

The laws are tough enough already. Bad people don't obey laws, good people don't need laws. People should be punished for what they do, regardless of what they've taken/ingested, not for what they might do. This guy obviously needs to be off the road.
