I didn't see Mr.Massey mention Susana Martinez as running, just Diane Denish, who by the way never showed up in Deming, sent one of her reps instead, but Susana Martinez showed up.

Regardless who one votes for, this Nov. election is very important, not just for NM, but for the nation and hope all people that are registered voters get out their and make a difference, start hopefully turning things around.

Things will change, unless Denish is elected.

Plenty of change will come with both candidates. It is the time for change. But "change" in itself is worthless. Look what kind of "change" we got with Obama.

We need to end the corrupt system of doing things in New Mexico, but we do not have to revert to the 1800's to do it. We don't need to dismantle programs that work simply becasue they were "liberal" ideas. This isn't about politics, it is about good leadership. With one candidate we have the partisan whining and the "blaming" that comes with it. The other candidate is addressing the issues and trying her best to play an honorable game.

If you truly want "change" take a look at who is offering it in their campaign. Attacking private citizens who support the opposition is detestable. Only a crooked politician would use her funds to hurt private citizens who oposed her. This is tacky!

And is Susana really a champion for abused women? It seems like she is attacking a woman in the media right now for having an abusive husband and suporting Denish. What is she trying to do? Silence the opinions of the citizens of New Mexico under the threat she will expose any wrong doing by their friends or family?

She has a half million bucks to intimidate any person that might oppose her. She has shown she will use photos of dead children, dig up dirt on abused women, and splatter it all over the headlines if anyone dares publicly oppose her.

Address the woman's concerns on EDUCATION Susana! THAT IS THE ISSUE! We dont want to hear about her ex-husband. It is irrelevant and tacky for you to hurt her and expose personal info simply becasue she opposes you. Especially THAT kind of personal info.

Susanna Martinez goes where she wants to go because she has no problem not doing her job. Diane has not forgotten Deming. She will be there for you. Please keep encouraging people to vote no matter who they plan to vote for.

Just 50 more days, then the criminals in Santa Fe will shiver like dogs passing peach seeds and broken glass because Ms Martinez will be elected NM's new Governor. Now THAT is change I can believe in!!!

I dont really think that she will have that effect. The "criminals" are really not in Santa Fe, but businessmen all over the state and all over the country that do those deals with our governor and his minions. The deals are set in stone and Susana certainly can not undo them.

Why do you beleive that anyone would be so afraid of Susana in Santa Fe? She is a Santa Fe regular, is rubbing elbows with all the regular crew and is already taking money from the very sources that corrupt. Al the real crooks have hired fall guys and the system is working prety smoothly. They are already positioning themselves for a profit is Susana gets elected.

I think that people put too much stock in the Gov's power and position. Susana simply can not do what she promises without a huge consensus. Much of what she promises is WAY out of her control if elected. But some voters will swallow that swill hook line and sinker just like they did in the last election.

The truth is that Susana will feed at the trough just like they all will. In order to do the job of Governor and be effective at all she will have to. That is just the way it has evolved.

Diane Denish was in Deming for the Duck Races, Participated in the parade and was at the park. maybe you would know this if you stepped away from the computer and actually participated in society.

I was really referring to the time she was supposed to show up for campaigning purposes some time ago. Simple fact is she sent a rep to answer selected questions, Martinez showed up herself.

Just FYI, I do participate in society, give my time to very good causes. I also read the Deming Headlight on line and join in on this Forum, have no idea why I should need to explain myself to you, but there you have it......have a nice day.

So is this like some kind of local holiday, a Deming duck race, and politicians are supposed to show up? Did Diane Denish participate in the race, and did her fat butt win a trophy or 50 pounds of cracked corn? You Demingites are really sophisticated with your little plastic puckie-poos.

You should check out www.demingduckraces.com to better educate yourself on the racing of "live" ducks and other events associated with this annual, fun filled event. Then maybe you can become a "chief quacker."

Now that's pretty sneaky, sort of smart too, with her showing up at the Duck Races where she sort of had a captive audience. She gets plenty of attention if she participated and raced ducks, but wondered if she answered questions from people while she was there? Now if she happened to win the race for governor, we could always honor her by calling it the Diane Denish Duck Downs Derby, try saying that 5 times real fast.

Vote for Martinez, we need to get rid of Richardson/Denish before they destroy the state of New Mexico.

Every study on charity, and who is most generous in our society has consistently shown that far right are the cheapskate, selfish ones. Five bucks is about what John Boehner has donated in the last five years to charity. The rich left like to start their own foundations, and then donate what they do give to themselves.

Santa Fe in this context was used as a generic term/place, somewhere where the criminal element tends to gather and meet. I'm well aware that criminals reside all over the state, not just SF, and that they have other means than face to face mtgs to carry on their business.

The point was that IMO Martinez will do more to curb the criminal activities of state employees/contracts/P2P and that general ilk than Denish will. Either Denish condones the behavior or she chooses to use selective ignorance and looks the other way pretending it doesn't exist. Her lack of action during 8 years of being tutored by King Bill leads me to that conclusion. Were she as trustworthy as she'd have one believe from her campaign ads, she'd have done something long ago.
