Think about it: would you really want Rio Arriba County to strike oil? Picture gold-plated lowriders with nambe-ware bumpers and occupants armed with more sophisticated weapons. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

Love the comment Schiphol. Luckily the locals won't see a dime. The grand parents of these locals sold there mineral rights a long time ago for Tokay and Tequilla. Hence no royalties. Plus to work in the oilfield, you have to pass a drug test. Therefore no locals will be hired.

It will and can have a BIG effect on the School systems in New Mexico, where do you think the State and especially the Northern part of NM gets the BIG taxes for the Schools, I have lived in the Oil and Gas Fields all my life, they built New Mexico and everywhere there was any Oil Field Companies they built ball parks, schools, churches and whatever the comunity needed they were and are good neighbors, better than the welfare counties without them.

I moved just for better 'air', but Farmington is still a To funny. Oh, I just wait for some dumb butt to tell me the air is fine in Farmington? Check YOUR cancer rate per 1000 people. Look at your meidcal facilities - they are growing and growing - why? Business is good - that's why! Your air sucks - you can see it sometimes if you look west.
