So, state employees are having to take furloughs but the state has enough money to pay for this kind of pointless junk?

So if the white folks are left out, does this mean a minority cast memeber will be in white face to play the white characters in the story?

Someone should contact the ACLU! This is blatant, state sponsored DISCRIMINATION! All Anglos should flood the NMFilm Office with applications. This is simply SHOCKING!

This is wrong on so many levels. First, isn't our state in a budget crisis? Second, this is indeed racist.

Anglos need to show up at these workshops with hidden audio and video equipment. If they are denied entry, they may have a great case.

I agree; there is no rational basis for a law that discriminates like this on the basis of race. The state of New Mexico doesn't have any kind of defensible interest.

Unfortunately, the ACLU only works within it's own agenda and would probably find a way to weasle out of helping. I am sure this would be a very loud outrage if this article said "State sponsored workshops to train Anglos.... " . This is blatant discrimination on so many levels. I am Hispanic and I find this revolting. But this is normal here in NM where the democrats run the show.
