So you found the weed.... but wheres the evidence of 'meth'? Good old american reporting always blending in marijuana with deadly substances during drug busts.

It's very unfortunate, but 400 plants is going to be difficult to use in defense, that it was for personal consumption.

This is why we can no longer rely on prohibition to "solve" everything. Was this a story of guys brewing their own beer at home? No? Growing their own tobacco?? No? What a failure the war on drugs is and has been for nearly 40 years. Meth is a horrible drug, but the UK's own "drug czar" just came out and said marijuana is safer than alcohol by far. He was, of course, fired afterward for using science rather than lies to educate the public. The lie is over. Reefer madness is dead. Reform and sanity for drug laws! We can't lock up everyone that partakes in cannabis, nor should we!

So? It's not like the plants are harmful to the kids. Decriminalize pot and find better uses for tax payer money.

Meth is a dangerous deadly drug and any meth use with children in proximity poses a hazzard to their welfare.

But, just what is this article about - Pot plants, meth use, or the welfare of children? What the heck has happened to informative reporting? And a word of advice for all you journalists out there, USE spell check.

Far worse things are going on in houses all over the world that have kids in them.

At least they didn't have 10 bodies rotting under the house.

Legalize the weed. Tax it, build the Vikes their stadium with it and call it Gonja Field. Just think of the publicity.

While I think these guys are total morons who deserve serious jail time, I had to chuckle at the writing in the story.

"deputies found two young children living among nearly 400 marijuana plants"

Were the children free-ranging like apes, surviving on bugs and roots? It sounds like some Discovery Channel show..."tribe discovered living among herds of elephants deep in the jungle".

Did they find beer, coffee, tea and/or aspirin also? They're all more dangerous to kids(and grownups) than pot.

Actually, nine times out of ten, the police just enforce the law. Fortunately, in our system, they don't get to decide what laws to enforce. The way to avoid unwanted trouble with the law is to simply avoid breaking the law. Really quite simple. If, on the other hand, you feel you must break the law, don't be surprised when you end up in jail.

Been there, lots of meth. Growing isn't a problem but mix meth in and you are dealing with shady people for sure.

The MAIN reason MN does not have medical MJ is because law enforcement said they had to follow the laws as written and lawmakers said they wanted to follow the lead of police, who would not undermine the current policy. Rediculous!

Another "Loon" for law-enforcement... The fact is the laws regarding ALL recreational drug use are bass ackward and many in law enforcement know this. Non-violent offenders get put away to learn how to be real criminals, ruining their lives, those of their families and injuring society. And for what? Growing a plant that is absolutely harmless. Meanwhile, self-righteous culture warriors continue to disturb the peace and de facto order of society. I always thought the laws were supposed to reflect society's mores, not impose some kind of right wing cultural fantasy world on them. My bad, I guess...

Daily Horoscope for December 4

Virgo

Someone wants a favor from you, so be ready for a not-so-subtle play on your sympathy. Expect a big song and dance about not being very well, or sad complaints about all the chores, as though you don't have enough of your own to cope with. If you agree to help, do so out of the goodness of your heart rather than because you've been manipulated into it.
