West Side Principal promoted to central office

Former West Side Elementary Principal Dr. Corey Gardenhour has been promoted to the Director of Testing and Data Services for the Elizabethton City School System.

Here we go again, looking for a prinipal for West Side.

The principal got a promotion. I assume it was more money.

I understand the need for administrative positions but when you take from the class room I think its a waste the children need them but the teachers deserve a better position and more money.

A new position where is the money coming from? The teachers didnt get a raise this year.

I hate to tell you but they do not need an new prinipal. The prinipal that is there was wonderful. He didn't flirt with the girls. He may have said honey or dear and the girls took it the wrong way. I am sorry I live in Outer Mongolia that happens anywhere you go. If you can't teach your child the difference in a sexual comment and just a good ole' southern comment you need to find somewhere else to live.

I'm not familiar with this ex-westside principal. Does this mean that they moved him because he was "supposedly" flirting with girls? I just figured he was another pawn in the BOE / Alexander game to manipulate people's lifes so they (BOE/Alexander)can put "their people" in certain positions.

A new position was created for Mr. Gardenhour. Someone please explain to me why he should get a new $80,000+/yr. position when the teachers didn't get a raise and the Eliz School system has the nerve to ask for a raise in taxes!

I think she is trying to say she is a "former" elizabethton teacher because she did voice her opinion. They must have gotten rid of her, thus making her a former teacher.
