Anyone still eat, grow, or sell Beacon variety apples?

We can grow oranges indoors.

I had several small papaya trees growing in my house last winter. Dried a papaya from a local Cub grocery store and planted the seeds in a deck pot. Was surprised when about ten of the seeds sprouted and grew.

So you got oranges too? My Mother-In-Law lives in Florida and the best oranges I ever had were when we picked them right off the tree. If it works I will have to try that

No unfortunately so far have never raised any edible tropical fruit. Just a few miniature ornamental fragrant oranges or tangerines that I hauled inside for several winters. Grew a few decent watermelon, a few peanuts, a sugar cane stalk, & this year am experimenting with sweet potatoes for the fun of it.

Imagine it would take something like a Florida Mother-in-Law or a big greenhouae like the Como Conservatory.

My best oranges I also picked right off the tree, near my uncle's house in Anaheim CA back when Duke Snider was planting orange trees.

I concur. I wish we could grow citrus here. I would also like to grow limes.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Capricorn

Get together with someone you respect and admire because you'll really enjoy their company. The conversation could soon turn to highly personal areas, yet there won't be any hesitation in talking straight from the heart. At some point you'll be in the mood to think about your New Year resolutions. Maybe you should write them in next year's diary so you can keep referring to them.
