Went there to buy a new 4 wheeler the other day.$4000 cash in my pocket.

The salesperson was a man dressed up as a woman who was incredibly rude, unknowledgeable about the product and treated us like we were pests. "I'd have to look that up" and "What do I look like, a Computer?" were a couple memorable lines.

Is this the guy who used to be on City Council's business? Mark Aleksandrowicz?

Doesn't he realize that people don't want to be waited on by a rude man in drag? I'm pretty laid back and not homophobic at all. The entire experience can only be summed up as bizarre.

I really wanted to buy the quad. I had the cash on me, but I was so put off by the dealership that I decided to go to Off Road Express instead.. and it's 15 miles out of my way.

Has anybody else encountered this creeper? Is that Mark's lackey kid or something?

Not to mention that he's a major Slum Lord! With 4 grand in pocket i'd say drive the extra 15 miles or try Leisure Time Sports in Corry. They were very accommodating.

Yes, I tried to buy a Harley Duece there this past winter. She/he tried to act like they knew about the bike but were clueless. I wanted to hear the bike run but I was informed that it didn't have a buttery and one wasn't available. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't buy a car without a test drive let alone hearing it run. Yes it was a very bizarre experience.

We went to Leisure Time and they treated us very good. We test drove a few and they took alot of time showing us around right down to picking out new helmets. At the time they were very busy but still made us feel like they were going out of their way to help us and answer questions.

I can't speak about the person you saw there but many years ago, I was in the market for a V-Star bike. The man I dealt with gave me the price was prepared to buy till I read the Cycle Trader and saw the exact same bike for sale $800 less in New Castle. So I went there, cash in hand with my trailer hooked up, showed him the ad hoping to split the difference. I was told that if I want to save $800 by driving to New Castle, go for it, they weren't budging a dime. Needless to say, I went to New Castle.

Back then, I believe they were the only Yamaha dealership so they had the market control so to speak. Perhaps things don't change over time

How many of you candy asses who are complaining about a few dollars are the same people who are the doom and gloom people who are crying that the end of the world is near and that business and industry are leaving and Erie is going to be a ghost town. Alex is a businessman and he and his family are trying like all the others to make it work in Erie, give them a break, don't be so cheap, spend it, you can't take it with you.
Why don't you post a picture of yourself on your next post so we can all see just how handsome a brave "ghost poster" you are.

Several years ago, I had a WaveRunner and went there to get a part I needed. As we were chatting, he asked what I did for a living. When I told him, he asked me several questions, the answers to which saved him several hundred dollars. He then proceeded to charge me full retail for the part. Never went back. Had he even knocked a few bucks off the price, I would have appreciated the gesture, especially since he implied that was what he would do.

can't treat customers that way, which is why i never go to lake pleasant golf course, or beachwood golf course, i've spent hundreds of dollars at both places only to be treated as if I was scum of the earth. I'm sure to tell all your money would be better spent elsewhere! especially if you like a little respect and decency

To the guy that gave away hundreds in info.
How big of a break did you expect?
Did you buy a $50 part and want $10 or $15 off, therefore leaving Alek's with no profit.
Do you work for no money?
Just how much profit do you think is made on parts?
I know how much profit is made on parts, and I know it well. Let me put it this way - had he knocked $5 or $10 off, it wouldn't have hurt him one bit, and he would have been a lot further ahead - especially since I do trade information for services or discounts when it's no big deal to do so. Instead of writing a check to me for $200, he could knock a few bucks off of parts once in a while.
