Someone told me that Crazy Hat Lady Phyllis told a board member that same thing and called renters "losers and retards". I happen to rent a condo from my parents here in Erie and am a MD. Pretty sure my existence is substantially higher than "meager" as my income is in the six figure range, and I work at least fifty hours per week. "Realist"? Hardly.

Nuf said.
Agreed. It is sickening how recently professions such as teachers, police, etc have been demonized by many.

Why are we arguing about part time workers who make a killing? Good point teachers don't even work full time!! The last I checked full time is 40+ hours a week year round!
These teachers are part time unionized whinny people. I feel sorry for the good ones. The others with their hands out are making them look the joke they are.

Why are classroom teachers making over $70K in Millcreek????

No, just sick of high taxes and 2 schools that could be shut down due to lack of money when these people won't work for salaries that private school teachers take. Too bad the only way to fire them and cut costs is to close schools because of unions.

Now we all suffer for their greed. Kids too.

Forget you already posted the same bull$hit on a different thread. Repeating a lie doesn't make it true. That only works for republicans I guess.

Still jealous?

Hahahaha...I love it when actual hard evidence/statistics are used to back an argument. Recently it seems only one's faulty opinions are needed to form any type of argument often lacking, however,(as in the case of our misinformed friend here) rational thought. I can't wait to see the spin on how this is incorrect and the teachers are still the root of all evil.
It's funny that people will partake in an offering (like public education) and than do everything to tear the same thing down when it no longer applies to them. That sounds like the very "moochers" the tea baggers so often complain about...unwilling to offer anything back because they already "got theirs". Lou Aliota is a prime example...he complains of the retirement offerings to teachers, yet his own family are teachers who will benefit from that very pension. Again I will say, this past election in Millcreek has been a joke for local education. Shame on us!
So you're that physiologically disturbed first grade teacher from Asbury teacher Gino was talking about. No wonder. You're liberal and he's conservative. You guys should get your own talk show, it would be great!

Ok, how about responding to anything in the previous posts. Nope, instead you take the tactful stance of trying to discredit someone by making up a lie about them. Way to go tea bagger. People are tired of that tactic. By the way, I'm not even a teacher, nor do I know who the teacher you are referencing is, proving to me that not only is Gino completely out of touch, but you are even worse. Who's worse: the blind man or the fool that follows. In my opinion, both of you are a waste of votes in Millcreek because you obviously do not care for anything but yourself. Good guess though. Again...what a joke!!!!

Why? I would say probably a few are because they have a Master's degree plus and over 30 years of experience in the classroom. As stated before, if you critics of teachers think it is a highly paid part time job of loafers, why didn't YOU become teachers? Would make you rather foolish to "know" those facts but not do it, no? Like you would rather work longer hours at harder jobs for less money? Really?

I do agree, tho, that there are good and bad teachers. Tell me one single profession where that isn't true....doctors, plumbers, stay at home moms, pharmacists, pest control business owners, lawyers, politicians, contractors....

There are no lies you supported a project that would have put Millcreek on the path of ruinous debt. Lame brain liberal. I read your posts. Lou is correct about people like you, almost as filthy as Wilga. You are a threat to the future, as is seen in your support for a project that we cannot bear on our backs. Don't worry nobody cares who you are.

WHAT??? That's too much for Erie. Put them to work in the summer months and then....no not even then! Ridiculous. Good thing Aliota is educating the taxpayers to the wasteful ways of public education. He posts daily to expose this.

I don't care if you care who I am, the fact if the matter, Lou, is that the project, though not moving forward, was correct for the district. The move to consolidate and provide improved resources is much better for the future of our students than the current buildings. Please walk through them. Anyone who doesn't live here agrees that these schools are a dump. Thank goodness for the quality if teachers we have.

Then you should consider helping your policy makers encourage more business to come to our area, so we can afford these things.
