Wouldn't it make sense for the district to eliminate the traveling between schools then? Since the walkway is such a scary place? Which is BS! If you think that...then isnt allowing your child to go anywhere dangerous then? Walking to their cars or bus at the end of the day? How about we hire more security guards for the schools and the walkway? Things could be done to make the kids safer at all schools but why spend the money? We need it for other important things. Like a pretty new athletic field! Thats what is important! And the drug testing was a done by a random draw! If your number was picked ..you were tested! Nothing wrong with that! Also hiring more teachers or paying the ones we have now better wouldnt be a bad thing either! They are who teach our children aren't they?
The drug testing sure as HELL was not done by random drawing of the student population because I did NOT give the school or anyone else permission to test my children. So if it was done by randomly testing kids whose parents wanted them tested then let THEM pay for it NOT ME. You bitch about finances well I am sick of paying for other people's kids. Drop stupid programs like that drug program already!

it's not that the walkway is scary, but when the argument is made about 2000 kids in one school being unsafe, the most unsafe issues need to be addressed first as 2000 kids in a school is not any different than a mall, concert, sporting event, etc.

You are completely wrong about the drug testing. I did give written permission for my son to be tested in 2002 and the one time he was the company that did it assigned him a random number so his name didn't go to them to protect his identity. Fortunately he was negative but no parent needs that test anymore. What you said about a "drawing" is totally false. Jesus you guys screw up so damned much information no wonder your own web page can't keep it straight.

Yes it is! I signed a form to allow it.. It was a general form that was sent home to every parent. You either signed or you didnt. Your choice. My child was tested. Not because I requested him to be ....I signed the form and it was random.. that is what I was told! Now this was years ago but thats how it was done. So I do have my facts correct! Also there is no way in HELL athletes are tested! That is the biggest joke! Half of those kids would not be playing if they were tested! Sad that some of those coaches have to know what those kids are up to but choose a game over a childs well being!

Your original post suggested that any kid was randomly tested, which was wrong. Parent permission was required. Same is true for kids in athletics.

Yes! If this doesn't get the attention of the people of Milcreek then maybe we deserve higher taxes. How on this green Earth can Erie renovate a school for $7.2M but we need according to those Einsteins HRLC 72M just to renovate. Then the board actually promised that it WOULD not be a Taj Mahal. We now have a bonded debt out for some 26M. That should be plenty to get new HVAC, roofing, doors, audi redone, labs, etc.
Gus Anderson has 1M set aside as of NOW to fix it up at not additional costs to the overall budget....but no Palermo, Wilga and the rest (aside from Mary Ray and John Diplacido) voted to spend another 10M on a stadium for 5,500 fans that will never come. The 10M is the REAL splap in the face from Wilga, Palermo, Wheaton etc. That does nothing to educate, it is just for the schools image.
That feild is what pisses me off!!! what gonna happen to the 1 million they already have? Go in Wilga's f.ag pocket? Why was it that gus anderson that is there now never cost the people a cent now this is all on the people? and wtf 72M just to fix it up? they made that price high and close to the new school price to justify it. bend over here comes wilga, run long here comes palermo. who does Palermo think he is anyhow and what did he get outta those builders?

it will be entertaining watch Gino's campaign after everything he has said & done.
Gino and handling pressure as well as people not agreeing with him will be better than most reality TV shows.

Good try! Gino has no intention of running for school board! And if your not a school board member...you definitely have something to gain from this! Your the only sopper who defends them on all these threads! Using different names. What do you have to gain? Go ahead say I am Diane or someone else that you spent your pathetic life digging into their personal lives! I actually enjoy reading your threads! But makes me somewhat sad to think you have nothing better to do but to hide behind topixs! Maybe you should dig up some shit on the board members? Hmmm? We wouldn't want to do that would we?

It's "you're", not "your", for grief sake. Sure hope YOU don't want to be on the board.

This is the same name I always use, as opposed to you, but at least you didn't put "lol" at the end of your (used correctly in this context) comment this time. But you DID remain just as classy. Good job.

The school board lost this whole issue. We'll be seeing some new people. There will be a lot going on with not just the new McDowell but the charter school.

How much do typical campaigns for school directors gather total? Can't be much money at all. Its so funny to see how they all clammer when they hear the name Gino. LoL
