You would think he would take a shower, shave and wear some nice clothes when he knows he's going to do an interview with the news. It's almost like he wants to look like the biggest slob possible.

This gun issue is getting out of hand, not only in Erie Pa. but all over the country.
The first question that needs answered is how does a person like Mr. Dillion get a gun permit? Second question, why does Mr. Dillion need a gun?
Think back a few years to Mr. Joel Atkins, he was the young man who wanted to be a police officer so bad that he carried a gun with him legally, he attended Mercyhurst Collage and was taking courses in law enforcement, he was not mentally stable and one night a guy yelled for him to slow down as he drove in an east side Erie neighborhood, Mr. Atkins stopped his car and got out, words were exchanged and Mr. Atkins shot the other unarmed man and killed him in front of the guys family. It is a classic example on many fronts. Now Mr. Atkins mother can be seen on YouTube pleading that her son is innocent, that the Erie police got it wrong and that her son is an innocent victim.
I would bet if Joel Atkins could turn back the hands of time he would not have bought a gun and those who issued him a permit would not have given him one.
This Mr. Dillion is on his way towards serious problems, this message he is sending is not about gun rights, this is his way of drawing attention to himself. The Erie police have their hands full with many other problems in the City of Erie, they don't need to be baby sitting some young man with obvious mental health issues.

OMG! I remember that case and that family, actually all the people that were involved, very sad.
If you go on YouTube and type in "Brenda Kiehmeire-Mother of Joel Atkins" you will find a listing of her dribblings of how wrong he son Joel was treated, there is even a recording of the 911 call Mr. Atkins made just after he shot the other man, it is very emotional and you can hear in Mr. Atkins voice that he knows he screwed up big time.
Some of these current hard asses need to hear and see some of this stuff, they are in for a boatload of problems if they want to play with this issue. Also this is going to become a drain on the police and the court system.
Moral of the story, not everyone can or needs to carry a firearm, especially those with mental problems.

It's not a legitimate video. Bussiere made it, which means it has zero credibility.

First of all it's not a gun permit. It's a concealed weapons permit. You only need it to hide a gun on your person or carry one in a vehicle. Pennsylvania is a 'shall issue' state. Anybody free of criminal history is issued a permit on request. Furthermore you don't need a concealed weapons permit to 'open carry', which is what Mr. Attention Whore is doing.

The problem was not Joel Atkin's gun, it was his own choice of how he used it. He could have just driven slower, politely acknowledged the person who told him to slow down, or just ignored the confrontation and kept driving. He chose to escalate it. The gun was only a factor because he made it a factor.

I tend to agree this is less about gun rights and more about attention for Justin. If you look at his facebook page it's all about his media coverage. Links and pictures of stories from the Erie Times News. He is doing nothing to protect the 2nd amendment rights of ordinary citizens. In fact his actions are undermining our rights. When the media shows a mentally challenged slob parading around a populated area with assault weapons the public's natural reaction is to ask for restrictions.

Justin is doing nothing more than winding people up and motivating citizens to lobby for open carry prohibition. Even the most pro-gun people in Erie are publicly distancing themselves from him. He was kicked out of his gun club. Bob McDowell won't even return his calls.

Yet Justin is unfazed by this growing chorus of criticism.

Weather it is a concealed weapons permit or a gun permit, what do these people need any of it, they obviously have a screw loose and whoever sold them the guns should have their heads examined.
Let's hope the news media doesn't give this circus any coverage, that is what these dolts crave and the last thing they need or deserve.
Someone should get this kid some psychiatric help and do society and him and his family a favor.

The media will make sure as many people see this as they possibly can. They couldn't have asked for a bigger goof to help them scare ordinary citizens. This guy screams wackjob and fits the media stereotype to a T. Expect it to get major coverage.

Too bad Justin is too stupid to realize he is being used as a pawn to accomplish the exact opposite of his intended goals.

Don't get me wrong. I used to drive by jay's memorial cross every day and feel sad about how things ended up. Even if he was as you say "protecting his neighborhood from a speeding idiot" he chose to use violence when it wasn't a necessary component. Seriously, Jay could not have claimed to be in fear of it if he punches the guy with it IMO, though I wasn't there.

Again, nothing but sadness about Jay and his family but if someone hits me they're getting clobbered if I have my way. Unfortunately Atkins had gun issues, often code for fear or inferiority issues IMO, but I bet they wouldn't have come to fruition if he hadn't gotten hit.

Couldn't he also have driven back to the scene and using his first amendment rights to free speech called Jay whatever he wanted without deserving violence? Do you think Joel would have shot Jay if he hadn't been struck first?

Again, let's no use the words "gun rights" when "gun issues" covers so much more including "issues" ;)

I think it would be great if this circus got coverage as well as some gun owners who see this differently.

PS Anyone know if Bob from Bob's Guns fame will be there?
