Sorry for this young lady's family. Hope it serves as a wake-up call to drivers who think they can barrel away at 50 mph when the roads are nnow-covered, hiding the ice below.
I see drivers all over the place zipping along like it's June. There's nowhere anyone has to be that warrants speeding and trying to pass other vehicles in this weather, when the plows can't begin to keep up with the nowfall.

I would first like to extend my sincerest heartfelt condolences to the family of this young lady, And secondly, I would like to ask BeckyKnapp just where within this article she read anything that indicated any speed? I sure didn't see any mention of speed. For all you or I know, This young lady was attempting to overtake a car that was broke down, stuck in the snow, slowed to turn etc... etc...Yet you assume that this young lady was traveling at an apparent high rate of speed. This family certainly don't need to see the comments you made in a poor attempt to make an example of their daughter, When in fact, you nor I even know the facts. With that said, I have a wake up call to deliver to you....When you assume, you often make an ass out of u me.

Rt. 20 can be very treacherous - and YES, most of the time, when people are in what is left of the passing lane, they are usually going too fast for conditions. Too fast for conditions can be 25 miles per hour in this type of weather. You don't have to 50 miles per hour to wipe out on Rt. 20. My advice to drivers is advice of my own that I heed when I travel on Rt. 20 in the morning. Leave a little earlier in the morning, take your time, watch out for other drivers, and stay in thr driving lane - the extra few minutes you take can save your life, or the life of someone else.
It's sad that this poor girl lost her life - my prayers to the family.

"According to reports she was traveling at an unsafe speed for the road conditions."

Let he who has never sped or assumed, cast the first aspersion.

May God provide comfort for Sabrina's family and friends.

ok first of all she wasn't speeding. second of all BeckyKnapp and anagram man u guys don't know this girl like i do she is my sister and reports acctually say that the other party was speeding and not her. so basically don't talk crap on a girl whos life got taken by a driver that was driving way to fast. she was going slow like she always did and somone was turning and she went to pass a car turning on a side road and when she went to get back into her lane she hit a patch of ice the other guy was speeding and i heard from the person that talked to my family and the other driver and he only tapped his brakes. anyone who stuck up for my sister i thank you and those who didn't get the story straight before you open ur fucking mouths. for all you guys doubting my sister i wish you could she what that asshole put her through.

The girl was my sister, and she wasnt careless or aggressive. Inface, she was probably over cautious. She was not in a hurry to get anywhere that would warrant speeding, she was on her way home from college. Accidents happen, and neither party is to blame. Anyone that can cast blame obviously doesn't know much. BeckyNapp, you are from Ohio, so how exactly do you know what the roads looked like on that day here in North East? Well, I was here and I drove those roads, the plows were keeping up with them, and they weren't all that bad. The slush had built up some between the lanes but that was all, and she lost control of her car as she was pullin back into the right lane, NOT as she was "barrling down the passing lane"! Furthermore, GOD has a plan, and nothing that she or the other man could have done could change that. He needed her in Heaven, and I hope that you can understand that, and think before you decide to write such rediculous words again. There is something greater than you and me. The LORD only takes the purest of heart so young...obviously there was something special about my sister, she was clearly not the villian that you tried to portray her as!
I love you Sabrina Marie, until we meet again.
