Too bad our state senator Jane RINO Earll voted against HB 40, The Castle Doctrine. This bill would have prevented ANY civil lawsuits against one using deadly force to protect him self. Yeah, good ol' Earll voted AGAINST your right to defend yourself along with 3 leftists from Philadelphia. Oh, and Fast Eddie Rendell refused to sign the law.

Fast Eddie is gone. Now it's time to say goodbye to RINO Earll.

back in his day these apes wouldn't have stood a chance. He was NEVER an angel, but now's a different time. Nobody deserves to have their home/family terrorized in this fashion

Did you see who got shot?- PAT HERRON, Red Herron's son. Shawn Herron's father - Weschler Avenue?- somebody knew something and then an hour later two "big" black men robbed Farrell's Superette on 4th St. 2 big black men in a white SUV....should be resolved quickly.

What are you getting at here JP when you say "somebody knew something"? I hope you arent implying Pat would be connected w/ a store robbery.

What does it matter who it was? I don't really see why we need to speculate as to who this man is/was related to or what he did or didn't do in his past. Fact...his home was invaded and he was protecting his wife and his home, and got shot for doing so. How in the Hell is that his, or his family's fault?

Really! This is happening way too much lately in this town. No one deserves this to happen to them.

Entirely agree here. If some thug enters a home, then I say its open season, like that fella a yr. or so ago that used a sword to defend himself. I'd just like JP to qualify his remark.

I mean Pat Herron is pretty well known and with that being a quiet neighborhood, one of the suspects must have known or thought to have known that there may have been a bunch of cash there. Pat is no slouch by any means...

No slouch? What does that mean? Can you explain how a former construction worker who has been retired for years has high amounts of cash in his home?

What does " suspects must have known or thought remark about cash " mean ? Maybe the cops should talk to you.

It is so typical of some of the people on Topix to say such stupid things. "do you know who this was", "someone knew something". The guy (no matter who he is) was shot by thugs entering his home! I wish him a speedy rocovery and the dog should get a big fat steak for dinner.

God Bless our dogs.:)
