If we had 1/3 less spear checkers, and worthless city dwellers. Us worthwhile country people, who have jobs, and support all you dumb liberals, would flourish and we could support a full sized major retailer.

It is 2/3 the size of a normal Cabelas which is twice as much as you thought but don't worry, you're still 100% a tool

The news said 2/3 but a little research shows that the average store is 125-200,000 sq feet. So even my hillbilly Ass can do a little math. You see if you take the average of 125-200 you come up with 162,500 then multiply by 1/3 you get 53625. So actually the new cabelas will be less than 1/3 of an average one.

Just funny typical liberal sheep. Believe everything the media tells you, too stupid to do any research on your own.

Well, your right. I based what I said off what was reported on the news. But we can both say we agree that your name is a good one, lol.

Cabelas will be a great draw for tourists to the area. Some shops will benefit, while others will suffer.

Dickssporting goods is roughly 45000 square feet.
It will not be the destination cabelas, with a giant mountain full of beautiful dead animals, but rather a scaled down version.

I hope they do some serious road work, because interchange and 79 is already a zoo. The bridge over 79 could use two more lanes.

Actually idiot, we need more ammo. The Department of Homeland Security just placed an order for 360 million more rounds.

A beautiful location would have been the GAF site. On the lake, nice square footage. What a shame they have to cram themselves in that small space just because it's the mall.

The GAF site is not on the lake, it is on Presque Isle Bay.
Why would you want to waste prime waterfront property on a Cabelas?
The Cabelas is also not going into the mall. It is going south of the mall and there is actually more land there than they want or need.
I do agree, as someone else stated, that the traffic up there is already horrible and this will make things that much worse.

Don't worry Elephant Bar will be expanding in the other 2/3. Just think guns , ammo, camo, and one of the best Happy Hours east of the mighty Missisppi...
