Fatica and Leon seem to enjoy kicking a man while he's down. Their comments reflect much more on them than on Beeman. What a couple of self important, pompous jerks. Fatica claims he speaks for all the voters of Erie County. Well he certainly does not speak for most of the people in the 6th district.

A question that I would like answered is who told the sheriff’s office to follow Beeman around with the cameras at the court house and then issue him a ticket through the mail for driving without a license. I never heard of that happening to anyone in Erie County before. Seems like our government is working against its citizens.

The reaction of Beemans former colleagues ....gales of laughter.I would like to know why it took 8 or 9 offenses before they finally threw the lunatic in jail. Should have happened after the second or third .

So going to jail for driving without a license makes one think about paying taxes? It does make me think that the tax dollars that I pay are being wasted on putting non-violent criminals in jail.

So we should not punish non violent criminals? No more traffic laws ,no more licensing requirements, how about no traffic law enforcement of any kind....drive as fast as you want, when you want however you want drunk or otherwise license free.

That is your characterization of a liberal, which is totally off base. I am a liberal, and being a liberal does not mean I "care" for everyone, just that I believe that everyone should be treated equally under our law (if they are a citizen), that everyone should be expected to adhere to our laws, and when laws are broken, everyone should be equally held accountable to the punishments our laws require. This includes people such as Beeman who knew the laws regarding requirements to drive and our tax laws. If he chose to ignore them, he should be punished. Period. Equal protection, equal expectations, equal consequences for your actions.

Wow! You really went off the deep end with that response. I never said we should not punish non violent criminals. My point is that we have too many people in prison that could be punished in a less expensive way to the tax payers.

You posted that you never said we should not punish non violent criminals. You then posted we have too many people in prison who could be punished in less expensive ways to the taxpayers ....fine, thanks for the clarification.
I suggest we take a look at our DUI program .
First it is not the guy or gal who is .08 or even .10 who is the problem.First offense....... Fine, community service & alcohol awareness counseling. Second offense ..... Big Fine , License suspension of one year, residenal restricted with electronic monitoring. Third offense...... Huge Fine , lifetime suspension & Jail term at a work farm without hardline criminals.
Confirmed alcoholics .20 or above every offense ....immediate seizure of vehicle, lifetime suspension, commitment to workfarm , mandatory alcohol counseling & huge fine.
I believe alcohol abuse is not in the same league as murder, rape , robberies etc but there must be some penalty short of Big House Time.
The exception ...driving while DUI & killing someone....Off to the Big House you go! No exceptions , do the time.
The ideas I suggest are a first step to a genuine two tier system of major& minor punishment for offenders.

I don't even know nor have met Giles. His orientation holds no relevance to me. If he has been proven to have done something wrong, convict him. If it hasn't been proven investigate it. I agree with holding him accountable. It has nothing to do with political view to me. That only matters to you.

Nonsense. Giles was a devout democrat. The investigations go nowhere when his party is in control. Throw Beeman in jail but throw your democrat buddy Giles in prison and investigate Leone as well. Cripes you democrats didn't give two shitz when Giles was padding that mileage account and ripping off the taxpayers. Because he was a devout democrat.

Great, if you have any information on their wrong doings, please take them to the authorities, to county council, or make a public statement to the people regarding your information. Take it to the Times News or any News agency in town. Don't just sit in something if you are holding information. I'll help you in the process if they done something wrong. But, you have to prove it. Having an opinion is not good enough.

By the way...padding mileage v. Tax evasion and SS fraud? Nice stretch.
