I am surprised there are not more comments about this. This is a very important subject.

I guess most of the people here on the Topix forum are pro-censorship? Because by not requiring net neutrality, essentially your ISP can block you from being able to read certain news sites they might not agree with. Dahlkemper is making that happen. I also will not be voting for her now.

It's sad to see that the users here are too dumb to know when they are getting screwed over.

This is all great fun, but it is part of a pattern.
Dahlkemper is a transaction politician, willing to change her votes for donations. Example- she ran as a strong opponent of global warming, then voted against cap-and-trade with rhetoric that would have warmed Sarah Palin's heart. She has flip-flopped on abortion, healthcare, closing Guantanamo, the budget deficit. She stands for nothing. Why: she is paying herself back from the last campaign with corporate and special interest contributions. No wonder she never has town meetings!

Congresswoman Dahlkemper will be in her Erie (Inter Modal) office to greet her constituents tomorrow morning from 10:00 - 11:30. If you have any concerns you'd like to share or need help with anything pertaining to the federal govt., please be sure to stop by and say hello.

I think the point was that the previous representatives had meetings in their office all the time, but also had "town hall meetings" that would allow people to get up in public and ask direct questions. I attended town meetings for Ridge and English. Everybody had a chance to speak, some of the questions were tough. It is legitimate to question why Rep. Dahlkemper only does events where she is protected from tough questions.

I once asked phil about his inappropriate relationship with his personal fork. He stated it was a media creation and his 300+ lb.body weight was not indicative of special treatment regarding the fork. He promised to give his spoon equal opportunity in the future to avoid any questionable improprieties. I thought it was the most lucid reply to any inquiry during his term(s) in office.

That isn't really the same thing as doing a town meeting and explaining your position and votes out in public, is it?

Nice try. Dahlkemper held the most town hall public meetings last summer. I was at one that was full of republican operatives and Lyndon Larouchbags who yelled and screamed and interrupted and were very disrespectful of not only the Congresswoman, but of other people as well. As for English, he rarely held public forums. He was the consummate coward.

Are we 12 years old? This coming from a person who probably idoloizes Michael Moore - who is the sloppiest mess of a human being that I've ever seen. Get real. How about we actually worry about policies and the tax payers wallets instead of the looks or the fashion ettiquette of the candidate? Cause I know Kathy isn't winning any beauty contests.
Anyone above who has a brain would vote Kathy out in 2010.

That was intelligent. Nice come back.(Sarcasm)

Regardless, here's three reasons why Kathy needs to be voted out.

1) She thinks that this health care bill is the "most pro life" bill that has ever passed through the doors of the Congress. Goes to show how intellectually inept she really is. Even NARAL is praising it. The Executive Order can be over turned at the drop of a hat. It's all smoke - and she fell for it. Or, even worse, she is trying to pull one over on her constituents as well.

2) She has been quoted upteen times the last week saying that (not verbatim) "she doesn't need Obama to come up here" and "to get re-elected you need to be independent"...yet about three months ago she was partying down in D.C. with the rest of them. Bringing in big money from her PACs. I'll tell ya what, Nancy Pelosi was happy the day Kathy got in. Everyone else down there gets one vote - Nancy gets two - her's and Kathy's.

3) Although she preached in 2008 that her platform was small business, she has done nothing for the small business sector in the congressional third. Sure, now she's meeting with small business associations, but again, it's not what the candidate does to get re-elected, but what they do during the other year and a half to actually help their constituents.
