the Sinnott gang f*cks it up again. Maybe the lawyers at city hall could figure out how to terminate someone legally before they let people go.

The dispatcher fiasco cost the city over a million dollars. Now this. Who pays the tab for this?

4 more years of incompetence. Maybe city council could get fired up about it.

Fire Chief Tony Pol is the one that spearheaded this bungled campaign. His ambition since becoming Chief has been to fire someone. Claims Mary is too mentally unstable to be a firefighter since she tried to commit suicide. Last anyone knew the Chief majored in finance in college and is not a qualified psychologist to make that call. He should stick to numbers.
If there is any truth to this, Chief Pol's chances of running for Mayor and winning have just dropped to zero. Word on the street is that Pol was planning to run for Mayor once Sinnott is finished in 4 years.

Tony Pol's only qualification to be Fire Chief was he supported Sinnott when he first ran for Mayor. Pol was a Driver for Engine Company 8 and had exactly zero command experience ... only in the Erie FD can someone with no experience become Fire Chief. A Driver? Chief? No wonder other Departments laugh at Erie

Let's not forget Chief Pol's choice for the Assistant Chief's position, Joe Walko. With the same command experience as Tony and he wasn't even a driver. He would refuse to drive and/or run in charge whenever given the opportunity. Not a "team player" in that respect and yet he gets promoted? Joe Walko's only leadership experience is that he is the President of the Wattsburg School Board. Currently Seneca is the dumping ground for all the County's "special needs" kids. These kids are not mentally challenged nor have Aspburger's or Autism. Simply, these kids are victims of poor parenting. They get "mainstreamed" in with the regular kids and tend to be disruptive and even violent. Check the State ratings for Seneca and you'll see that they are practically in the bottom 10 percent. Walko is just as big as joke as Tony Pol and yet both these ass clowns run the EFD.
Pathetic.

Erie FD hasn't had good, qualified leadership since Bill Hertel was Chief and Tom Lawson was Assistant Chief.

There be a Hot Time in the old town tonight. Fire, Fire, Fire. They could make her the Chiefs' Driver, or maybe the Mayors, or she could be a hose inspector. The ruling is BS, a nut is a nut. When you leave YOUR RESIDENCE make sure your bathtub is full of water.

That my friend is the arrogance of Chief Tony Pol. He was the President of The Polish Falcons for years and had the power to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted to whomever he wanted. No questions, no transparency. He thinks he can do the same on the EFD and run amok doing whatever he wants without consequences. Forgets about the Union, forgets about government employees special rights in regards to how to discipline/fire them and forgets the special rights of the disabled. Regardless of what he and/or the general public thinks there is a right way and a wrong way to d things. If he was a real leader, he'd retire. He has the time in but he won't. His ego won't let him.

Tony Pol is a disaster. This guy could mess up a cup of coffee. The Deputy Chiefs know more about command and control than this guy.

Ton Pol won't retire until the end of Sinnott's last term. He's having too much fun being Fire Chief. This freaking guy actually thinks he is going to have at least 1 paramedic on every engine company and ladder truck per shift in Erie by the end of 2016.

This guy is a disaster

Can you imagine what the taxpayers would've had to pay if she were to have been labeled as disabled? I think we got off pretty light.

I think that this broke city should seriously look at privatizing the Fire Department ala Scottsdale Arizona.

Much more professionalism, lower costs, and it frees the city from bullc*ap lawsuits.

Mary Wolski's chances in Scottdale --- > ZERO
