Looks like his accomplice is going to take the rap - no one else to punish.

I'm sick and tired of you morons making excuses for Fred Zurn. He was a world class *ssHole who cheated everyone. Anyone can be a generous person with other peoples money. And let's stop the pitiful whining about his poor family. Too bad for them. They all lived the good life because of his thievery. He was a narcissistic, sociopath show off who got his rocks off living in million dollar homes, owning Florida retreats, driving expensive cars, wearing expensive suits and jewelry, and feeding his big fat face at the finest of restaurants. I'm just disappointed he never made it to prison to get his big fat white a$$ violated by a 300# cell mate.
Come on, don't hold back. Tell us what you really thought of him.
I agree with you 100%

Sorry, but everyone here needs to read the book "Why Good People Do Bad Things" and then you will understand. Fred was a nice guy. He just got "caught up" in the BS of this world. I do seriously wonder if he did die of a heart attack, or did he take his own life because he feared prison. I knew who he was and I don't think he would have fared too well in the slammer. But let the poor man rest in peace. He is being judged by God now.
Myself and others who knew Fred have asked the same question as we didn't think he would allow himself to ever see jail time. Heart attacks can be created. If he was simply in Florida to take care of a property rental, why were all of his family members at his bedside at the hospital when he died? Especially if it was a massive heart attack on the day he was to be returning to Erie.

I feel very sorry for his family. Yes, they lived the good life created by his greed, but they have also suffered through the humiliation along with Fred. I also do not feel Fred's death should wipe out the restitution that he owed, as that would not help any of those that he deceived in business.

As to his accomplice, his death may help her as it could become a "he said she said" situation, and the "he" part of the equation is now gone. She could say that Fred made her do this, and he will not be here to offer any defense.

I do pray for all involved. This includes Fred's family and his victims. Hopefully some good will ultimately come from this.
