Why do you act as if the Erie plant employs the only people in the world who are EVER capable of putting out locomotives that don't soil themselves?

Who said anything of the sort. There are plenty of capable manufacturing workers in the u.s. capable of building lots of things. Yet CEO's and execs keep having their products built overseas for pennies. So to be competitive in a global economy the workers of the united states are suppose to work for pennies? That's where cooperate america is trying to drive us to. While the politicians just sit back and laugh and accept their campaign contributions and kickbacks.. The country is moving backwards not forwards my friends and in the not so distant future there will be two types of people.. The haves and the have nots.

Union Member | 15 hrs agoLocal 506, I would have like to see what you offered the company in return? You neglected to have that in your last flyer that my husband brought home! Bill Crawford and Hall ... get out of that office and back on the floor! I do not agree with what you are doing... You are committing genocide with all our lives here in Erie! U don't lose your job's, we do!!!! U protect the troubled employees as well. How many chances do you give an employee that does not come to work? 100? Red circle wage thing was ridiculous too! A person making $45.00 an hour, lied, cheated, stole from that piecework system. U know it, yet you let it go through..
I love how you name a chief building steward but you dont put your own name on here ...coward.
I am sorry that your husband is misinformed what my duties as a chief steward are,if he is misinformed about whay really happens through the talks the last couple months I would like to help him.First of all I was not involved in any of the talks.Secondly as a steward, chief or an officer of this union, we put alot of blood , sweat and tears into this union. There is no glory in this job, I take calls 24-7 give up time with my family and for no extra pay,and no I am not granfathered in.And after this year I will be stepping down, so that people like you and your husband can do my job. If your husband would like to come and talk to me about anything I would like to help him out , but please don't hide behind a false screen name, show up in person.

Of course we're not talking pennies here - we're talking the UE turning up their nose at $31/hr. And for what? A chance to get unemployment. Sheesh. The lack of logic is giving me a headache.

The pay freeze is just a small part of the big picture. You must spend to much time being spoon fed bs by media and tv. The concessions are lies to place the blame on the workers. The company planned on the job cuts regardless of any concessions. Wake up NEO open your eyes and see whats really going on.. See the whole picture. Their next move two years from now will be far worse.

GE will not keep workers they don't need no matter how many concessions are made. They are restructuring and the union was smart to sit tight. GE will not keep workers just to keep workers.

How can the employees at GE, get this Local 506 out of GE completely? I am sick of the mentality at this shop!!!! I think the CEO is much more intelligent than this Scott Duke guy or any dip shit at that hall.. They sit over there in their high and glory, thinking their shit doesn't stink... I heard this Duke guy make a comment, "he was born to do this." That is ridiculous! Are you sure your not bringing some frustrations from your old employer?

You should have put this to the membership as a vote?? Your dumb.......... or were you smart? "LOCAL 506 AT THE HALL, YOU ARE KNUCKLEHEADS." YOU JUST RUINED IT FOR A LOT OF FAMILIES..
